Being involved in your driving, shifting gears manually, listening to the engine, responding to the road, taking a curve at high speed, are all typically "manly" things to do with a car. It just so happens that the Miata also does these things VERY well.
Women treat cars like appliances. Miatas are NOT an appliance. They are for pure driving fun. How is that not manly?
