If I were you , I would sue my former employer for mental anguish, improper dismissal from job, favortism towards the other employee..... seriously. Politial Correctness is immature within itself.

She did do something wrong....she was listening in on someone elses conversation and didn't like what was being said that wasn't meant for her, and wasn't said TO her.

Tell your mommy and daddy to take you back home since they didn't teach you any manners.
Your objectivity about the stupid girl issuing the complaint is suspect, since you cannot be very bright spewing verbal diarhhea in mixed company.

About 12 years ago I was banging a 21 year old Korean girl who worked for me. She was a hottie. I never got written up for it though.
and lemme guess, the byeatch that ratted on you weights close to 300 lbs and often wish that some one would sexually harras her. Not saying this as a male chauvinist pig that you think I am, but it is often true. Most of the time, sexual harrasment are some of the most effed up cases. While the one that creams sexual harrasment can be found doing the same thing, to the people that are closer to him/her. It's call circumstancial that who will get written up.
If a woman thinks you're a dweeb and you dont' know her, then most likely any comments made toward her will be scrutinize. At the same time, this same woman will be found making lewd comments towards her other male workers, the one's that she's interested in, or perhaps are good looking.
So get to know her before making the sexual innuendoes 😀. I get away with murders all the time 😉

I agree with the sexual harrassment thing being one sided....there was a group of women at the bank in the lunch room telling really bad jokes against men...it was funny....they asked me for a joke and I told one about a brownie/girl scout. Well the lady telling the most anti-men jokes later on complained to management as a 'mother of proud girl scouts' I insulted her, her family, and america.
I had to send an email apology....in every meeting that we disagreed in or that she was losing getting her way she brought it up and told others that I was a probably a child molester since I joked about young girls.....
it's bs.

?!? I love people that think in 'real business' everything is prim and proper. I have been in meetings between companies (banks/financial institutions) where negotiations dissolved in to "F - U" and "c(#ks(@ker" that, etc....paper being thrown at another etc....I was shocked the first time, but it happens I guess when tens of millions are in limbo.
However, the 'drones' are required to keep it civil since they should not be talking anyway. There is a big difference to what goes on at work and what one sees that works there.

As someone that worked in a large bank (about 1000 employees) and was there most of my day (at least 10 hours per day)...I dated and lived with women I worked with.
the #1 breakup manuveur (if I was breaking up with them) was to cry I will get you nailed for harrassment.
Outside of that the #1 people complaining about harrassment were indeed the ugly and obese. They would claim they want a pass made at them or whatever by someone that said the same exact thing to 100 chicks before them and never got one complaint. It's crazy.
I also had other's try to get me for harrassment as a third party (usually seeing be do something to a girlfriend while walking back from lunch from the mall)....all those times the complaints were thrown out as the company had an open dating policy as long as the couple were not senior and subordinate.

Yeah, you'd be amazed at the number of married couples I know who met at work as co-workers.

The best point in this thread. it didn't dawn on me till i read this post, but Geekbabe is ABSOLUTELY correct here. a generic risque joke, tho it could be viewed as offensive, wouldn't have been as stupid as a joke directly ABOUT someone and one that actually could have been taken seriously.
even if you say it is COMPLETELY in jest, it will still be viewed as half serious.
in retrospect, it was a bad mistake.
The PC workplace sucks. I feel for you, Evadman, but you really should have known better. And hopefully, now you do.
Coworkers are not your friends. Sad, but true. And even if some of them are, there's always somebody else eavesdropping.
The double standard especially sucks. I see women around here do things all the time (risque jokes, jpegs of scantily clad guys, etc) that would draw the ire of HR if a male were to do the converse.
The crybabies have turned the serious issue of sexual harassment into a ridiculous parody of itself.
