You still 26?

2 beer max if I'm driving, so no, never driven while drunk. DUI people should drive off cliffs.

Oh hells yes.
I weigh 188.
One beer for me is legal AND does not impair my ability.
However, I've only done it once and I also had a steak to go with it. Cops are getting more anal every year and I wouldnt be suprised if that breathylizer pops for Listerine.

EDIT: I just reread the question.
No, I have never been legally drunk and driven a car.

Of course not, it is also touchie feelie motivated. When drunk driving accident deaths are compared to just about anything they are usually statistically insignificant. I was thinking about this today when I saw a sign that said "Dangererous road next 7 miles...there have been 22 drunken driving deaths since Jan 1, 1999". Now this is on a very heavily travelled road with three lanes each direction. If you took into account the number of cars driving that strecth of road daily for 7 years the 22 deaths (which I bet most were of the intoxicated driver) become statistically insignificant yet very significant to a few families.

Well, if there were say only 3 deaths in that same time frame that were a result of something other than alcohol, then the statisic would be that you are 7 times more likely to die if you are drinking.

I no longer drink alcohol, but many years ago, I remember leaving the nightclub, getting in the car, and driving over 30 miles home.
All I could remember is getting in the car, one horrendous curve (and almost running off the road on the OTHER SIDE!), then getting out of the car at home!
I stopped drinking and driving then, and quit drinking altogether 19 years ago.

I wouldn't call drifting into a hobo walking along the side of the road "driving" but I suppose thats open to interpretation!

Even MORE reason to stop the car.

Yes and I regret putting others at danger for it.

One time I was drunk and was pulled over for doing a rolling stop turning right on red. The cop gave me a ticket for doing a rolling stop but that was it.

I have passed field sobriety tests when legally drunk.

Luckily thirty years ago a lot was done with a wink and a nod.

Now a days I have the numbers for 6 different taxi cab services in my cell phone's phone book.

Once. Was about 2 miles from my house and I drove back roads the whole way.

Yep. I have done it a few times. I was not drunk-drunk, but my BAL was more than the legal limit.

I did it once a long time ago...I won't be doing it again. Every time since I just slept in the car, got a ride home, or planned ahead and took a taxi, the bus, or just walked.

Back in the old days when the worst that would happen to you was spending a night in the tank, yes. Now, no way. Not in 20 years. I feel old. :(
