I have or have come really close to... lets just say I am never going to do anything like that again. Nothing happened, but the next morning I realized how dumb of a decision it was.

Take all the "maybe" people and toss them into the "yes" category. Roughly 2/3 of people have driving while legally drunk which is not at all surprising.

I unfortunately have to vote yes.

In fact Once or Twice, I have driving so drunk that in the morning I vaguely remember that I drove home but I didn't really remember where I parked my car or who rode home with me.

I'm sure that I'm driving while legal over the limit in the morning a few times b/c after a hard night or partying you are still legally drunk in the morning.

I'm not proud of it and I really hope to not do it again, but chances are good that I probably will...sorry

I think anyone who found the primary results to be disturbing will be amazed at the results of this second question.

You should have added something to find out how many of us that answered yes were doing it pre MADD days when in many states it was legal to actually drink a beer while driving and if you got caught over the legal limit the consequences were nil. I remember going through drive up liquor stores in Florida where they would sell you a packaged cocktail complete with a plastic cup and ice.

I have no idea how many times I drove drunk. I do remember that one time it took 3 of us to drive home (1 to watch speedometer, 1 to "drive", and 1 to help watch the road)

I have never had a breathalizer, so I have no idea what different BAC%s feel like.

I would like to get one of those cheap ones for like $100 just to have some experiments (involving beer, liquor, time, food, etc...).

I have driven after 2 beers over a 1 hour period before, so that probably puts me over the limit.

Up until my DUI conviction - occasionally
Afterwards - never

No excuses, but being a 118lb teenager of Irish decent is just cruel.

While this may be grounds for a DUI, the question asks how many times you have driven while intoxicated. Quite different.

I have done this probably 15 times as a youngster. Not in many years. Honestly I think that essentially everyone, other than people who don't drink at all, or don't drive, has done this at least once. It isn't a good idea, and I don't condone it, but it's certainly very very common.

You are absolutely, totally, and in every way; WRONG!!!

Of my entire group of friends (who all drink), none have ever driven after drinking. When they try they get tackled (one guy, who no longer associates with us) actually got himself beat pretty bad for trying to drive after a party.

My brother did during college, but he never will again. People STUPID enough and SELFISH enough to do it simply aren't good enough people to be among those we hang out with.

Your smug superiority doesn't change the fact that most people who aren't teetotalers have driven drunk at least once. This is probably THE criminal offense that the most people have committed. I think the fact that so many posters here say they've never done this has more to do with the average age here than anything else.

No sense in argueing, we saw the poll results. 36.2% said they had never done it.

Agreed. Other than speeding or illegal parking. A whopping 64% admitted to doing it at least once. We are already at 20% saying they have done it 50 times or more.

ePeen++ :roll:

Man, you took a relatively nice personal trait (no drinking and driving) and somehow still managed to make youself look like a total dick.
