I have or have come really close to... lets just say I am never going to do anything like that again. Nothing happened, but the next morning I realized how dumb of a decision it was.

You should have added something to find out how many of us that answered yes were doing it pre MADD days when in many states it was legal to actually drink a beer while driving and if you got caught over the legal limit the consequences were nil. I remember going through drive up liquor stores in Florida where they would sell you a packaged cocktail complete with a plastic cup and ice.

I have done this probably 15 times as a youngster. Not in many years. Honestly I think that essentially everyone, other than people who don't drink at all, or don't drive, has done this at least once. It isn't a good idea, and I don't condone it, but it's certainly very very common.

You are absolutely, totally, and in every way; WRONG!!!
Of my entire group of friends (who all drink), none have ever driven after drinking. When they try they get tackled (one guy, who no longer associates with us) actually got himself beat pretty bad for trying to drive after a party.
My brother did during college, but he never will again. People STUPID enough and SELFISH enough to do it simply aren't good enough people to be among those we hang out with.

Your smug superiority doesn't change the fact that most people who aren't teetotalers have driven drunk at least once. This is probably THE criminal offense that the most people have committed.
