The dems are really looking towards '08, I doubt that anyone will be able to beat Hillary in '08.

Are you KIDDING??? I really hope Hillary does run, it will be the biggest GOP landslide since Reagan beat Mondale.....

I hope you are right, but I doubt it. She has been setting herself up for a long time now.

I always get a kick out of thise one. Democrats are all up in arms about the fact that Bush got bad intel. It is, however, OK that Clinton committed pergury. I don't see how this double standard is acceptable to anybody. Would Bush going to war with Iraq have been better if the reason had been to oust Saddam?

Uh, the difference is that Clinton's lie was about a minor sexual act that didn't hurt anyone except his wife. Nobody viewed that as "OK" - if anything the aftermath was one of the greatest overreactions in the history of politics.

Bush's lie caused a war which has killed thousands of people, cost a staggering amount of money, and made us look like arrogant fools to the rest of the world. Oust Sadaam? Don't make me laugh. There are dozens of regimes in the world much worse than his. Bush invaded Iraq to give the US corporate interests who got him elected control over the Iraqi oil fields.

Not to be a jerk, but this belongs in the P&N, and there is a new one of these every week.

Bush's lie? What did he lie about?

He got bad intel. He got bad intel because the guys in charge of intel couldnt do their job right. They couldnt do their job right because of restrictions put in place by Clinton.

Now lets talk about the lives that Clinton's bad intel cost. Remember Somalia? Kosovo? How about that asprin factory in Iraq that we bombed on bad intel and killed tons of innocent people.

The good thing about Iraq is that we got rid of an evil dictator. What good came out of Somalia???

Back to this thread. I'm so fcuking glad that Kerry is winning in this mock up "election", it just goes to show that even though there are lots of idiots out there, there still are more intelligent beings that are able to think and see pass what the media is feeding them. This gives me higher hope in humanity and even a greater hope for America.

Some of us do possess the intellectual capacity to see pass the ploy of buying a fcuking vote buy giving "tax cut" that ultimately comes out of the budget, and your tax dollars (it's easy to give away what's not yours, and while you get your measly hundreds or thousands, guess who's really benefiting?).

Quit blaming Clinton for everything, anything. So he got a bj and lied about it, any guy would, and I don't really condone his action. But as a president, who, in the fcuking history of America, can say that they brought the country 8 years, 8 FCUKING YEARS of prosperous economy, a debt free country, and most importantly, for other countries to LIKE the US, for once.

Please, pull your heads out of your arses, look pass the "Oh, bush saves me some money on tax, so I'm gonna vote for him", and the "It's all Clinton's fault"...

Bush is not running the country, he's a fcuking puppet, so I'm not really mad at him either, we just need to get him out of the white house so the fcuking bastages that's pulling the strings can no longer ruin this fcuking country.

When the fcuk are you gonna wake up? When one day you wake up and every one on the street is speaking Chinese, or Indian, or with a European accent?

I pitty the fools....

THAT'S precisely the reason I will vote for Bush, not John "pander to the rest of the world and UN" Kerry.

Thank you, thank you very much, your opinion means soooooo much to me. But I'm not worried, because there are more people that agrees with me than they do you. My political infuence is not from the media, where all cows get theirs from, but from insightful generals and politicians of the past, but what do they know.

From your eloquent and thoughtful respond, it just further highlight my point of what kind of people support bush.

OK then, I will actually address your comments specifically:

What does this mean? Does intelligence preclude someone from voting for a republican government? I hardly think that such a blanket statement is evidence of any on your behalf

Perhaps there are people who don't believe that the government should steal as much of your money as possible and give it away in the most inefficient corrupt way possible.

I don't blame Clinton for anything other than making his wife famous anough to get elected. And to answer your question, NOT William Jefferson Clinton...
Please, pull your heads out of your arses, look pass the "Oh, bush saves me some money on tax, so I'm gonna vote for him", and the "It's all Clinton's fault"...
How about I vote for Bush so that we don't have Kerry in the Whitehouse. Is that ok??

Bush is not running the country, he's a fcuking puppet, so I'm not really mad at him either, we just need to get him out of the white house so the fcuking bastages that's pulling the strings can no longer ruin this fcuking country.
Who then Is running the country? Please provide some evidence.

When the fcuk are you gonna wake up? When one day you wake up and every one on the street is speaking Chinese, or Indian, or with a European accent?
You spend half your post attacking people who blame clinton for the economy and now you attack Bush for outsourcing? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - priceless...
I pitty the fools....
likewise, I am sure...

Mwilding;

By your voting a republican does not mean you have diminished capacity, but by backing Bush on his actions would proof otherwise.

Bush can't really issue a check from the Treasury to the tycoons, so tax cut is the only viable and "legit" way of doing it. (read my lips, when's the last time a republican didn't raise tax?)

Name a president in history of America that can precede Clinton's success.

I wish I have the evidence to my conclusions, then a lot of people would be charged with treasons and a lot of motherfcukers dead (with me being first, because, they'd even kill a president, why not me?). But, sometimes, you don't really need to see a million dollars to know it exists. Are you a religious man?

I never blame Bush for outsourcing, but hey corporations have to do what they "have" to do to make more money, and screw every one else. I'm sure under a democratic leadership, this shouldn't have matter much, but it won't be as rampant.

This is a free country, you can vote for whoever you want, just be sensible.

Not sure but I think this is inaccurate. Kerry wants to stop filling up the petrol strategic reserve, temporarily, which is not the same thing as "opening" it.

Currently the reserve is at 651 million BBLs out of a maximum allowed of 700 million BBLs, so Kerry's idea doesn't seem likely to affect our abilities in a crisis. In fact Bush said as much when he announced he was going to fill it up to the brim again back in 2001.
i do know that opening it up some wouldn't affect gas prices much, so would ceasing filling it do much either?

I voted for Bush. People who voted for Kerry please tell me your names so that if he is elected I can personally blame you for a lame duck president who buries his head in the sand on all the tough issues and refuses to take any sort of stand (other than the defense stand in court to testify about lying) on any issues. All the while raises taxes to pour money into some government subsidized programs for that nobody really needs or cares about.

exactly.

I also voted and will vote for Bush.

If you are actually stupid enough to believe that the poor economy of the last few years is Bush's fault, then you are too stupid to try to communicate with.

See, this is why this crap should stay in P&N.

Second that!

Both presidents preceded Clinton so that alone makes them qualified according to your stated criterium...

Warren Harding was president during the roaring 20's an era of unwarranted stock market speculation and a time of great wealth creation. He got out before the crash which Calvin Coolidge got the credit for... sound familiar?

Martin Van Buren counts for a different reason. He rose to power through astute political maneuvering. Under him the country was happy, healthy and peaceful for a few months until the economy went to sh1t mostly due to the fact that there was a nasty boom/bust cycle at that time and partly because he did something to get the crash started. The rest of his presidency was spent shrinking the government and tightening its belt. He is generally considered by historians as a good president despite having presided over one of the country's worst depressions....

edit: Calvin Coolidge's first term would be an even better example...

Actually Clinton caught a lucky break. He reaped the benefits of economic policies of the presidents immediately before him also, he was in the right place at the right time when the tech markets exploded. You want to give him credit for the"8 FCUKING YEARS" of economic prosperity, fine....also give him the blame for tech bubble bursting.

I agree with Mwilding...your grasp of American politics maddeningly shallow.

Ah yes, the ideology of blaming the one that came before or praising the one that came before; but never take any responsibility for what is currently going on. Super.
