What are some reasons to vote for Kerry, other than "because he's not Bush"?
That should encompasses all other reasons.

PS - I'm not a citizen so I can't vote anyway.

Clinton opened up the strategic oil reserve during his administration, and it actually helped to lower prices a bit. There were temporary oil supply issues at the time due to refinery problems, and allowing companies borrow from the reserve helped to stabilize the available supply.

We're having problems with refinery fires again, and OPEC just cut oil production. There is a chance that Bush may need to impliment a simular strategy this year to prevent gas shortages this summer.

Kerry agrees with Bush (for now) on gay marriage.

Kerry does not want to amend the Constitution about this issue.

Exactly. Kerry says leave it up to the states. Bush say to modify the COnstitution specifically to discriminate against gay people.

I'm voting AGAINST G. W. Bush. (Looks like that will technically be a vote for Kerry, even though I don't much care for him.)

Hell, I liked Dean. The man is passionate about a lot of the right things (IMO) that could eventually make a positive difference in society. (Members of the "more me, now!" crowd need not apply.) More importantly, he speaks his mind in public. I like that. I liked that about Wellstone (who was beautiful man for other reasons as well, such as the time he personally went to the VA medical center and successfully got one of my friends' grandfather, a WWII vet, but otherwise, a "nobody," through a three-month beauracratic mess for a life-saving treatment he had previously been denied), I liked that about Jesse Ventura (despite his political inexperience and lack of tact), and I like that about Ralph Nader (despite the fact that I also think, politically speaking, that he's a moron). Too bad Dean made himself a national joke after Iowa, and he's pretty much finished forever. (YEEEEEEEEAHHHHHH!!!)

If Dean can get that riled from a mere debate, he is not a person I want controlling the world's foremost nuclear power...

I sure as hell am not voting for Kerry. What does this guy stand for? (I mean, for more than 10 minutes at a time). I know most people who are voting for Kerry are only doing so because "he's not Bush", well, I guess that's why I'm voting for Buch, "he's not Kerry". I would have voted Dean over Bush, and possibly Edwards over Bush.

By God, Amused, you've convinced me. I'm not voting for either one this election! Now, let's see, what major party candidate is left, hmmmmmm . . .
Hold on to your smug ass there, Perk, because Kerry believed it too... as did every single intelligence agency in the world.

Smug ass? Hold on? OK, hold still, and stop braying.

Bush is honest. 50% people don't agree with his opinions/direction.

Kerry is honest 50% of the time. People have no clue what his opinions/direction are.

People that vote for Kerry do so because they don't like Bush. This next election is going to be out of hate/spite.

Where do you get your facts? Soon after becoming president he increased preparedness, he just didn't have enough time to implement much yet before the attack.

Neither, they both suck. Hell..Politicians just plain suck.

Probably gonna vote for Nader, if he is still running, so I guess I will taking votes away from Kerry in the end.

You are right, but, if you're sitting in a car that has lost its brakes and is heading towards a cliff, and you have a choice of jumping out or staying in the car and hope for a miracle, what would you choose? (for the very obtuse, the car being bush, and kerry being jumping out)

Now, in the jumping out process, you might hit your head on a big rock and still die, but hey, it's a chance that you gotta take. Better than certain death.

Actually... releasing some of the SPR wouldn't be a bad idea. Bush's dumb ass chose to fill the SPR at record times. He should have released some of it and let the prices drop. Prices actually would drop if some of the SPR was released. I'm not the only one thinks this. A lot of economists agree.

yes, sheep of the world unite!

Kerry has to be the biggest and worst liar that I have seen in my lifetime. He is an idiot.

Bush will win. Kerry is just a pawn. The dems are really looking towards '08, I doubt that anyone will be able to beat Hillary in '08.
