Posting quotes, links to Anands review, charts and graphs is trolling?

We have very different definitions of trolling.

If anyone did what you are doing now in an Apple thread you'd be squealing like a stuck pig.

Honestly, we get that you don't like it. Time to move on.

I'm not seeing what your getting out of carrying on trolling the thread.

Anything about RIM you're pretty much guaranteed to start trolling.

I'm not in love with any particular OS, I'm tethering at the moment with a HTC Thunderbolt, and I'll give it up when it's pried from my cold dead hands :)

I particularly dislike having to constantly jailbreak iOS devices all the time, I'm no fan of Apple's closed ecosystem. I think at the very least, they should have an "opt out" feature like Google did with Android.

Sure moose, but people are getting fed up with your barely concealed trolling, so move on.

LOL, I own you in this thread, prove you're making up facts and figures and I'm trolling?

The PM's I get from other posters are actually pretty supportive...

You've 'owned me'? Sure you have, if trolling is owning, you win, you win big. :D

I'm really not interested in your PMs, even the crude offensive ones you insist on sending to me, and I'm not sure what a 'support PM' would mean anyway. Are you running for forum Senator?

Email only, I'll give you that even though there is no mention of frequency and amount, but no radio. Keep up the FUD.

Anand is very thorough, but was he running the same OS as others when running these tests? How come some have reached almost 12 hours and Anand has only seen 7? All higher ratings are bullshit?

Well, I was merely pointing out that Anand's tests might have included emails, and if there are emails, at least WIFI should be running. And WIFI uses radio, unless I'm wrong.

Anyway, I'm not here to debate Anand's testing methods. Though it's interesting that you keep mentioning 12 hours and by "some". Would you mind sharing those "some" results with at least me? I have read many reviews, and thus far, only Joshua Topolsky's review has mentioned 11 hours.

Moose deliberately missed off the word almost in my post. I said almost 12, and it was 11. I have never stated it has got exactly or over 12 hours, I'm just being trolled again by moose.

Stick around, he might start calling me names again...

you're a gutless little piece of sh#te...
two faced sorry ass...
you slimy little two faced f#ckwad.

Yep, that's the moose, all class.

Edited,

I don't want to get vacationed here, and for the mod's benefit, that quote is from another forum, where we have an entire sub forum dedicated to bashing DBZ.

It looks to me that at the exact same price point, the Playbook is blown out of the water by the Nook Color, not even close really.

Too bad, the Playbook looks to have some very nice hardware. The software, honestly I waited a few days as I thought the reviews had to be some sort of really bad late April fools joke, no email??? How? No Calendar or contacts, for a WiFi only device I could see that as a teething issue out of the gate, same with lack of apps. No email though?

Also, long term it is rather shockingly stupid to not have the device offer full functionality with a Windows machine. Can't mount the file system from Windows? Why? The BlackBerry bridge would have been nice for the market a few years ago, with the meteoric collapse of BB's marketshare they are massively limiting this devices potential market. It seems RIM is telling everyone 'if you don't own a BlackBerry, don't even consider buying our product'. If Google or Apple did this it would also be moronic, but at least they have markets on the upswing, not facing one of the fastest collapses the sector has ever seen.

As is right now, a $250 price point is far too much to ask for this device.

Where the hell do you get 250?

It wouldn't be a good buy at $250, I know it's supposed to retail for $500 atm(given the consumer response to it, that may not last long although it depends on their manufacturing capacity and sales goals).

Relax, he's just trolling.

Really? Want to go point for point functionality wise against an eReader for half the price? No? Didn't think so :)

Seeing as you posted half truths and blatant mis-information in your initial post why would I want argue with yet another RIMtroll? Misdirection and instigating an e-brawl is your M.O., rather than decent debate.

Only a fool would think a Nook could get anywhere near this:

Now check your email. More importantly, let's run a poll to see what people use their tablets for more in that regard. The video playback from the tablet is a nice addition, particularly for those with dumb phones that can't handle that level of functionality(which I'm sure is true for a lot of Nook Color users and likely close to 100% of Playbook users).

Alright, now fire up your app store, we need to download all of our crucial applications, get our widgets up and running for all of our data streaming(stock ticker, weather reports, sports scores, etc), sync up our calendar apps and pick up our entertainment based options(games etc). Have to have a music player that handles FLAC with full EQ of course, we actually do have parity on Flash which is nice, still with me? Or did I lose you at checking your email?

You really don't want to go point by point against a device that costs half as much. If the only thing the playbook has going for it is the ability to playback HD video content-

http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMP-.../dp/B003960FH0

The ability to play back HD files on a TV is a nice addition to a tablet, but core functionality if FAR more important and the Playbook does not have it.

You seem to be under the impression that the Playbook has hardware limitation. In fact, that seems to be the common opinion. RIM is able to release software updates whenever they're ready and install OTA. So anything you think of as a shortcoming can be fixed in a reasonable time frame.

All you've got is 'check your email'? OK, I'll check it with the already available third party email apps. Oh, you didn't know about that? OK. We can do this all night.

Show me a nook multitasking, no show me a nook running two OpenGL apps running side by side @ 60fps, except you can't...

Full Flash functionality, Multi-task, and helluvalot more stable than nook color with "soft keys". Oh yeah, let's video chat with somebody... Oh wait you can't. How about let's take a picture of something with your rear... wait nook color you can't...

Point is, Nook Color is good for people who wanna tinker around with things. People will get things to their liking. Nook Color only has pricing going for it, on average hardware. If pricing doesn't matter, playbook wins in my "book"... pun not intended...

Everything you all are saying a Nook Color can't do, a Galaxy Tab can at $350.

(except maybe that browsing the internet on your TV thing)

Well, except for 60fps OpenGL side by side, too.

Though quite honestly, I find that a gimmick more than a useful feature.

So you're saying we should buy two devices to make up for the functionality of the Playbook? That makes sense...

No, he's merely saying that if $250 can't buy you what you want, then $350 likely can.

Beyond that, both of those devices can do far more than they "can't do" when compared to the PlayBook in its current state.

Like I've said before, wait until June to buy a tablet. WebOS tablet, HTC, Asus, and the new Galaxy tablets should all be out by then.

I don't know why everyone is acting so surprised about something that was known since January. That's when the first news came out that it wouldn't have email or calendar.
