That's not what I'm doing. I'm making fun of people who want to secede from the union because Obama won.
It's exactly what you are doing.

Texas does not have $1.3 trillion.
Louisiana would be friggen GREAT without the Feds.... All that offshore revenue that the Feds currently steal would ALL be theirs, that alone should double the budget at least and if it isn't enough they will just add some tariffs to all the go-go juice and petrochemicals the rest of the nation relies on them for. They would also control the business end of the Mississippi river. Ever hear the old saying that you don't put all your eggs in one basket? As far as energy is concerned that is basically what the US has done between Texas and Louisiana. Hell, the HUB of the entire nations pipeline system is located in those two states, so if by some magical and mystical the US could shit a new supply of go go juice I seriously doubt they could effectively transport it throughout the nation.

The part I like best is how they are the "real Americans" and the "real Patriots"
They love America so much they want to leave it
I am pretty sure Texas would be able to come to some kind of agreement with Mexico as far as trade, and travel. And if Mexico did get froggy, Ft. Hood is only a few hours from the border. Not too mention we probably have more guns per capita than anywhere else in the nation.
I noticed that there are a lot of states on Whitehouse.gov asking for secession. I even saw my home state of Nebraska on there with around 5,500 signatures.

Texas is probably "average" in terms of "guns per capita" in the US.
Texas is below average in just about everything so lets just agree on that and call it a day.
Giggling at 100,000 dead people huh? Why not pick another state that doesn't agree with your politics and wipe them all out too, might get an actual laugh then.

Git my gun ma, I'm gonna go kill me some Yankee carpetbaggers, revenuers, and G-men. It's the fire this time and the south's gonna rise again!
