Too bad you don't still have any of those.

I have a NOS set of THESE I just decided to sell.

They are probably going to show up on Ebay soon.

The ones pictured are NOT mine BTW.

Never owned an old muscle car...well, I came close once. My second car was a '75 Pontiac LeMans GT. Still had a 350ci engine but it had a Rochester 2 barrel carb. It was fun but it wasn't much of a muscle car...

I've owned two late model Mustangs though! Does that count? They both were 5.0l with 5 spd transmissions!

I came _dangerously_ close to buying a '68 Mustang GT with the 390 CID engine last week. But it sold out from under me while I was contemplating it. 🙁 Proof of the old saying, "He who hesitates is lost."

ZV

EDIT: Positive side though, since I didn't get that Mustang, I'm free now to seriously consider the '86 944 Turbo (rebuilt engine, "S" package turbo, upgraded boost controller, ~270 RWHP on a dyno in 2002, after the rebuild). Not too shabby on the power from 2.5 litres. Stock, the car ran 6.0 second 0-60 with only 217 HP at the flywheel, I figure it should manage 5.0 seconds if there's enough grip now. It all works out in the end.

While my '92 GT doesn't quite fit the description of "muscle car", it's damn close IMO. It's easy to work on, reliable, and works with any mods you throw at it.

I was in a strange mood this morning and put it almost completely sideways on a 1st to 2nd shift....damn that's fun! The look on the faces of the people at that stop light was CLASSIC.

Had a 67 galaxie 500 with a 390 but sold it a couple years ago. Replaced it with an 89 mustang 5.0l 5 speed coupe. Just as unrefined if not more so but has power options and a/c 🙂.

Does my '89 Plymouth Voyager SE Turbo count? 😛

It's old, produces 200HP, and enough torque to uproot a tree (if the frame were capable of that)

Vroom. Oh, yeah, I forgot, I still own that '77 Mercury Marquis. Anyone wanna buy it?

I didn't include my turbo caravan and I think I have yours beat. Just upped mine to 18psi 😀.

I ran 32 on the old motor. Blew that all over the gas station parking lot, though. Present config on the new motor is 20. I don't think I care to go back to the limits, because I definitely did not care for spending a month and a half looking for a turbovan in the junkyards that hadn't run into something.

Funny thing is that when I found a replacement, the only thing wrong with the motor was that the sparkplug wires had burned off the tips under the distributor cap. Was a fun swap, though. I now have two stock Mitsu turbos and two stock heads hanging around here, plus a ton and a half of misc. parts that I took off the both of them.
