I bought a 1969 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 convertible in 1972 for $1000. Dark brown, goldish/brown top, tan interior. Gauge package with the Tic-Toc Tach. Fast damned car....A/C, tilt, 4-spd. Wish I still had it, but in those days no one conceived of those cars being worth what they are today.
I traded it in a year after I'd bought it for a brand new 1974 Fiat X1/9. Fun little car but no power....handled like a slot-car.
