There is a difference in you zooming just to pass me and slow down vs me choosing to tailgate.

Tailgate me and I'll brake-check you. We'll see how long you stay that close.

yeah yeah...except during your 'check' I will be passing your ass and sending you off-road.

Not many cars can out stop me now and most drivers have no skills.

May be he is Lewis Hamilton?

Actually about 1.2 on the skipad...no engine mods yet. My brakes however are more than oversized for the car and I am running decent rubber (GY asymmetric).

Brake checks work great on people that don't know WTF they are doing. Pull a 'brake check' on me and I am passing you at that instant.

Once I am in front most would be sorry they decided to play that game.

I'm completely confused. Why would you be tailgating someone if you can just get in the other lane to pass them? If you can't get into the other lane to pass them (i.e. cars/medians on both sides of you), then how are you going to pass them when they do a brake check?

By all means, please answer this question since you are obviously the only person on this forum who "know(s) WTF they are doing", so we can all bow down and grovel before you.

I would normally just pass, this thread turned into a typical personal attack.

I don't know what other's have a hard time understanding about how brake 'checks' are only good against those that aren't used to that kind of shit.

On the track a typical 'check' would be someone just stopping quick, giving you a chance to pass.

Anyways, I have sent many a 4x4 off into the median that thought they were so bad ass.

They hit me I win, they go off road I win.

So are you saying that when the car in front of you slams on its brakes you zing around it so you are now in front of them and then slam on your brakes causing them to go off the road?

Yes I have...many times though once I am now in front of them they no longer want to 'play'.

Maybe because they have 'grown up'. You might want to try it.

they go from blocking the road...to backing off because they are an adult like you.

You sound like the toddler that agrees with whatever is opposite to their parent.

yea, if someone is dumb enough to cut you off in a very nasty sense, they normally dont stay in front of you for long. but normally i just get right back in front of him. it all really depends on what car you have as well.

i dont mess with big truck, i just think they can run me off the road and i dont do it to beaters that are not worth 25% of my car. i dont drive the best thing in the world but i figure i have more to loose in case an accident happens.

Wow, you're a dick. But she's stupid. When people tailgate me on relatively low speed roads, I just hit the brakes hard enough to put the light on a few times. I was hitting the brake to the music when some stupid juniors were driving home behind me from a football game - the stupid chicks just didn't get the message for awhile.

You're delusional.

And he sounds like a total jerk too. Complains about people who pass him then end up going slower in front of him, but then he does the same "to get even" - now that's real grown up

I ignore people who ride my bumper. They hit me, their fault. Brake checking people is stupid.

You don't have a leg to stand on. You piss and moan about bad road behavior and your solution is to tailgate? That's bad road manners, making you no better.

I can brake check you and ensure you can't get around me, but I'm sure you'll say your a driving Pirate Ninja that can do handstands on the steering wheel @90mph while winning a drag race, so yeah...

Ahh so you are Parnelli Jones? Hate to tell this to you but most of the time even among skilled drivers you slow down in front and they will pass you no matter how skilled you think you are.

You more than likely only have experience with people on public roads that don't know WTF they are doing anyway.

Trust me, NFS and Gran Turismo dont scale to real road ability.

I just usually drive about 5mph over and if people want to pass me, let 'em. If they tailgate me, then so be it. Chances are about 50/50 I'll be behind/beside them at the next light, so it's no big deal to me. I just keep playing my classical music to keep the road rage away....lol. It actually works quite well too!

At any rate, I'm more concerned about what is going on in FRONT of my vehicle.

Watch out man, alkemyst can run the WestPalmburgring in less than 7 minutes, his skills are not to be trifled with.

Anyway she was all upset I stuck to her bumper through the next two turns into the office and forced her to 20mph over the limit.

I simply told her she should have stayed behind me then.

Actually passed someone earlier today. The guy was consistently going under the speed limit and when it went up 10 mph, he barely increased his speed, so I took the chance to pass rather than watch him possibly sit at 5-10 below. The amusing thing is, whenever I pass, the other guy always speeds up like I offended him/her by passing . To me, travel is nothing but a waste of time... if you think about it, it's simply the requirement to go from point A to point B. Therefore, if someone is slowing you down needlessly, then they're doing nothing but being disrespectful and causing you to spend more time to go between A and B (and essentially, wasting more time). Now, I'm not saying to be a speed demon :p.

No, I think I made DBZ though.
