Even a cop would have told that idiotic driver he was in the wrong.
So who are you?? King of the road?? Everyone must move for you?? 55 is the limit, not some sort of guide for you to do as you wish!!!It is people like you who cause accidents, smart ass!!
For the record the least number of accidents occur 10mph over the limit. There are also far more accidents where one car was going substantially under the limit than over it.
Also for all you claiming it's your right to be in the far left lane, you are wrong, traffic is technically supposed to stay as far to the right lanes as possible, using the left lanes to pass and when they are traveling faster than the rest of the traffic. If everyone followed those simple rules, half of these road expansions will not be needed, people cause their own delays to by playing the stupid NASCAR game...whenever one guy taps his brakes, you have 10 miles behind him all over braking...it's ridiculous.
Tonight there was a dumbass (little skinny guy with a big truck) towing his little dinky bass boat in the far left lane doing 45mph a 55mph...he was going slower than 45mph in the 45 too, but I wasn't behind him directly then and thought it was just traffic backed up. As I caught up I saw anytime someone tried to go around him he'd swing his trailer out....so stupid. I was in the middle lane and heading up at the speed limit slowly passing him and then I slightly sped up as I was approaching another van in the middle lane about 5 or 6 car lengths ahead with plenty of room to make a slow and simple pass leaving plenty of room for everyone...but Mr. Bass Yacht

decides otherwise. I get ready to move over and I realize the idiot had sped up and was now in my blind spot...as space opened up the truck would close the gap, he was watching my car constantly. I could have made it a million times previously but I wasn't trying to cut anyone off nor blast up the right lane. Anyways, idiot desides now to sort of drift over towards my door and honk as if I was in his lane...I have no idea what his deal was with everyone, but it really pissed me off so at the next approach to a red light I started to slow, then as he let off thinking I was now blocked again, I gassed it and slipped in front and completed a 45-0 braking test immediately. Smoke was nice and visible behind me from I think every tire one his big ol' mudder tires

now he desides to 'scare' me by slowly riding up to me with his brights so I just let off the clutch and let myself roll back as I fiddled with imaginary items on my passenger floor

...now more honking behind me, the brights turn off, and more of me ignoring him while I am trying to find that 'thing' on my floor, I hit my brakes and wave like "oh sorry" and thought that was that....he kept back a bit.
However, at the next light I came to a slow stop back in the middle lane again and he changes lanes and pulled the stupid brights and riding up to me again, that was it, I opened my door and started preparing to beat his ass, took off my watch and bracelet, loosened up my shirt...once he realized what I was doing, he tried to reverse in traffic at the light and get over to the right lane where a turn in was, now a lot of people were honking. Light turned green, I put myself back into the driver mindframe, shut my door and drove off like nothing was the matter and this time he kept way back, problem solved.
I was definitely ready to beat his ass, I can see someone getting mad about me accidentially cutting them off, or some other mistake I have made...but when one is trying to provoke and you call them on it, they can't then start acting like the victim. Maybe one day I will be shot, who knows...I will deal with that when it happens...
Normally I ignore all this and don't let it escalate, I work from home so I don't get to drive that often anyways and I like my car and music...but this last week I am going through some crazy allergic reaction to something (I have no known allergies), look like I have monkey pox and had to cough up $500 for the doctor and whatever tests he came up with and some kick ass anti-histamines....so I am the 'low-tolerance itchy bumpy boy' right now and at this point ending up in a hospital under heavy meds sounds attractive.
The totally worst case of these mudder 'cool' guys was when my wife and me were just cruising in the far right lane about 5mph over the limit even with no one on the road (it was late late night early morning) and one of these guys barnstorms me putting on his full set of lights at the last second. It scared the crap out of her and she didn't understand it at all (she has only been in the USA for a year, previously from Japan). I saw him coming and just thought he forgot his headlights and was going to pass me once he got close. I didn't even mess with him, just thinking maybe he had a little to drink and was clueless, plus I don't like messing with people with passengers in my car....they never share my insanity.
The guy proceeds to then kill his lights and drift back again into the darkness and about a 1/4 mile later I see him closing in again...this time I told her we may get hit, but it will probably be not bad and there is no way he is going to pull that crap again (I only try for a 10-20mph difference in speed when I do these kinds of things, as I can see the vehicles getting close together and accelerate usually faster than they can brake, plus this was a really nice truck so more than likely he would have insurance and even more likely he would try at all costs not to rearend me)...well this time the guy was really on the fly and as I stopped and saw him try to pass on the left I blocked him and he literally had to baja it, he would have definitely hit me otherwise, I totally misjudged how fast he was going this time, I am thinking perhaps 40-50mph faster than me. I thought he was going to roll, it was real bad (that's what I based my grass, dirt, and stuff flying all over the place above), we were next to a field at the time, one of the few fields on this road. My wife wanted me to go back and check on him
... when I explained if I go back there it's not going to be good she realized the guy deserved it, but she was giving him so much benefit of the doubt that maybe something was wrong and he needed help

. When we got home she wanted to tell the police about it, she insisted he must have had something very wrong and needed someone to help him heheheheh.
Well end of ranting for the night
