Many of the posts I have seen written by you, are not very nice. Did you not learn to say nothing if you have nothing nice to say?

hahhaha, yah i know. I never understood that, but I make some good money repairing their worthless crap. So i guess i can't complain.

P5 back in the day meant 5th generation.

Tell it to my damn IT department which won't replace the Pentium Pro 200 server in my plant. A whole 4GB of space on shared drives (including the OS) to share among all plant employees and for all plant applications. Try to store 5,000 AutoCAD prints plus other files on that garbage! :Q

From a post a few months ago.. that I can't seem to find.. or remember who posted it: "If there was an invention to stab people over the internet.." or something like that. I don't remember all of it, but it's funny. So, just find a way to pistol whip through the internet. Problem solved. ;)

Edit: I found it.

I guess I need some more forward thinking so I can patent something that'll get popular 15 years from now. Maybe I'll patent a device that lets you stab people in the face over the internet.

You mean 586?

Yeah...I don't think anyone called them P5s. There was a K5.

BUT I PAID GOOD MONEY FOR THAT COMPUTER!!

oh my goodness. This is so true for asian people. My aunt spent clost to $3000 on a P75 in 1998 or something like that, and expected her son to use it until he's done with college in 2003.

came stock with 420MB hard drive, 8 MB RAM, 2X cd reader. He did some upgrading along the way.

The P5 was the code name of the orginal Pentium. When the Pentium Pro came out, that was the P6 which numerous processors were based off of (Pentium II, Pentium III, Celeron, Pentium M)

Truthfully, hardware made a bigger leap than software some years back, so computers are lasting longer. PC's 300 mhz and over are still more than useable for the Internet. Under that is a whole different generation that's lived past their useful life. Get rid if it for cripes sake!!!!!

There are a lot of people out there who like old computers and see no need to upgrade the one they have. There are some collage professors who still use there original 8086 or 80286 for word processing and nothing else. They enjoy them and don't want to get rid of them.

I should clairify that these people are trying to do things with their computers that they were never designed to do and then getting angry at me when they don't work. If they have a 286 for typing letters, fine. If they want their P75 with Win95 and 16 MB of ram to do smooth streaming video with a 28.8 modem, they need a reality check.
