This has nothing to do with "Sharia Law"; it's simply a method of execution. I'm ok with it so long as the person convicted received fair due process of law and was really guilty of the crime.

Here in the US, depending on where the crime was committed, we would essentially do the same thing: Ritualized execution, but with a lethal-injection chamber, with selected witnesses to observe and some kind of priest to give last rites, etc.
