you are deluded.

If you went onto a cooking forum and saw people were arguing and getting upset about a debate on whether a fork or a spoon was better, what would your response be?

a spork.

A lot of you need to chill. I play games on all platforms. If you don't, you miss out on some real gems. I love PC gaming but it's not easily accessible to everyone. If it was easy, more people would do it. Just have to face facts.

I am chilled, until someone comes out with nonsense reasoning on trying to devalue the gaming PC machine....

As i said, i have shown u what the Apex end of a gaming machine looks like.
When your sitting at that apex, a console just doesnt cut it, unless ur playing for the titles which arent available for PC, or your community is on the console side.

Again, stop thinking with your emotions so much.

im sorry but all my statements have been fact backed up with pictures even.

All your statements i proved to be false and grossly wrong.
Put a desktop tower on the floor and it is unstable.

PC gamers can upgrade their SLI configurations every four months.

How about having some truth to your statements then i can chill out on you not passing wrong info?

Or are you done and all you can do now is try to bait me?

Sorry, but your average desktop tower is unstable on a carpeted floor. Of course, you can buy smaller towers or make your own custom-built one with metal clamps on them but I was clearly talking about the usual scenario rather than specific ones.

You clearly misunderstood what I was saying about PC games upgrading their SLI configs. Go back and read it again in the context of the whole post.

OMG am i the only one in the audience that says this guy is full of it?
If your system is unstable... you obviously do not know how to build a PC.

Im done with you...

Your second part if i mistook it.. then i appologize.. but the rest of your comments are just so full of BS.

I don't put my tower on the floor because it's harder to reach the back of it that way. :( I would like a little more of my desk space back though.

If a game is released for both console and PC, I'm going to get it on PC. It's simply a superior experience.

However, I have a PS3 and Wii because there are a lot of great games that don't get released on the PC.

Also, I have never seen a desktop case that was unstable on a carpeted floor.

I keep my 800D up on the desk simply because I'm a klutz and if I or one of my cats knocks over a glass of something, I don't want it pouring inside and destroying my rig.

To alleviate this I bought a huge monstrous desk. I have my case, a 30" monitor, a printer, G25 racing wheel, speakers, stacks of discs and tons of room left over.

Just get a huge desk! :awe:

I've got a CM Storm Sniper case with swivel feet. Its more stable on the carpet then the desk itself. Screw the average desktop, this is a gaming rig.

I have a Corsair 800D too, and it's on my 72" L-Desk, but it still isn't large enough. :p

The largest problem (or should I say space taker-upper) are my 2x 27" monitors. My tower is to the right of me, and my printer is to the left (along with a XBOX 360 and a PS3 beneath it). I just wish my monitors had an easier way to change their input. It's the Dell U2709W and it has the silly touch buttons (like the original PS3), but they aren't that sensitive. :| I need a remote to easily switch between DVI1, HDMI and Composite.

PC isn't always a superior experience. I've bought many games for console over PC either so I can play it with friends or because the PC version sucks.

What I meant by my statement was when the same game was released on both PC and console. For example, I wouldn't consider NHL 08 to be the same game as the console version. Same name, but the PC version was nothing like the 360/PS3 game and quite inferior.
As for playing with friends, most of those types of games are console exclusive. For the ones that are released on the PC, though, (assuming they're actually the same) I would still argue the PC is a superior experience.

Physically unstable! :awe:

I see where the confusion lay.

While that's technically true, its also an astoundingly weak argument, I'm surprised frankly it was even brought up.

A simple home floor mat, hobby mat, or similar for $5-$10 is all it takes to fix. Period. Heck I have mine sitting on the floor, on the shelf from a wooden bookcase. Been that way for 6+ years.

This is just not an issue worth mentioning.

When we are talking about connecting a PC to a TV, it is certainly worth mentioning.

With a console you can just put it under your TV and on top of your cable STB and just leave it there. With a desktop tower it isn't as simple as that.

veliko's arguments are aimed at protecting society's dumbest people, so when we analyze his "statements" from that pov, they have merit, IOW, complete and utter idiots should avoid the PC as a gust of wind might knock it over.

That's pretty much what I gathered.

They should also avoid the PC as the drool coming from their always gaping mouth might land on some sensitive components. It's best for them to stay completely away.

Do some PC gamers honestly believe their own hype about how much more intelligent they are?

No matter what system you are playing on at the end of the day you are still pretending to be a space marine, WWII soldier, Roman general or a dictator.

It takes a certain measure of intelligence to set up a proper functional PC, there's more ingame tweaking, there's mods, so there's no doubt that it requires more effort and it's more complicated to some degree.....anyway, the console mantra is always "plug and play" aka monkey plug him into the TV, monkey thrash about the couch" GAGAGAAGAGAGAAAA

It does, yes, but it's not some huge leap in intelligence. There are plenty of doctors, engineers and scientists who couldn't be bothered with faffing about with a PC.

An intelligent person does something or makes use of something because it lets them do what they want to do rather than because it requires intelligence to use.

exactly. I game on both platforms....cause i actually like to play games. So that makes me just as much of a console gamer as it does a PC gamer. I know plenty of guys who only game on one console and their not any dumber about anything specifically than i am.

But i fail to see how learning to build a PC, tweaking and exploring more complicated game menu's, using kb/mouse is something that no console gamer could learn if they wanted to? makes no sense.

The only smart gamers imo are the ones who enjoy their games and not complain about others with different preferences.
