It does, yes, but it's not some huge leap in intelligence. There are plenty of doctors, engineers and scientists who couldn't be bothered with faffing about with a PC.

An intelligent person does something or makes use of something because it lets them do what they want to do rather than because it requires intelligence to use.
i don't see anyone claiming that pc gaming requires a doctorate degree. it's you making them seem like morons who balance their new 61" flat screen TV on top of their box in the center of a busy room or something.

pc gaming takes a bit more effort at times- whether that effort is worth it to someone or not is up to them. most people i know have consoles as well as pcs but they could live without their consoles, not their pcs.

I have done anything of the sort.

For gaming or for general useage?

To me, games looks weird on big screens, you often hear the image pro's talk about some blurays that look like video games when motion flow devices are activated.

Which doesn't need to be done with a console. Plus all the other annoyances involved with moving a PC from one room to another.

I think you're now just arguing for arguments sake. That's just weak.

Weak in what sense? We were talking about connecting a PC up to a TV and a tower case being what it is, it being a bit unstable on a carpet is just one reason of many that I wouldn't want to take my PC downstairs and connect it up to my main TV.

Other reasons would be that I would then have to position my couch and table so that I can use the mouse and keyboard. There are ways round all this but it means an incredible amount of faffing around compared to doing the same with a console.

You can even store a console in a cupboard and just get it out when you are going to use it. Power lead, video lead, leave it on the floor, done.

A gaming console is like a Toyota Camry with an automatic transmission. Relatively Cheap with low maintenance and just enough hp to get you going to where you need to go without any hassle. A gaming PC is a BMW M3 with a manual gearbox, it'll do everything a cheaper car does but way faster and flashier. There's more to learn and worry about, but it's quite satisfying.

That would only be an accurate comparison if you included that the M3 could drive on a handful of roads the Camry couldn't, while it wasn't allowed on a great deal of the roads the Camry could drive on.

If you are a gamer, you play the games, not the system. Everyone else is just a platform bigot.
