Last quality check before i purchase and build. Build will be used for light gaming, surfing, streaming, a workstation that can game at 1080p. Amd build for the physical cores and the ability to multitask better, keeping the build under $1k. No suggesstion is a dumb suggestion, open to any and all build ideas, already have an SSD,monitor, and OS salvaged from current build.

Get this combo deal

I'd recommend some faster memory(perhaps even 16GB?) and a graphics card with a better cooling solution. You could also consider this power supply. $885 total before rebate.

If you for some reason decide to stick with the 1600X you're also going to need a CPU cooler since it doesn't come with one, whereas the 2600X does.

good catch on the lack of cooler on the 1600x, went w the ram and gpu swap, left the psu as is. same as before, if any glaring weaknesses or compatibility let me know. will be purchasing during memorial day sales event.

I would go with 16GB(2x8Gb) of memory myself, but it otherwise looks like a decent build.
