Yes 1 month.

I don't see why not to play the league? Play it for a month then that toon roles over. The only reason not to play is to just grind in standard.

I'll be rolling a crit tornado ranger for this league.

Is it worth it vendor rock breaker + 20 Balcksmiths + map for 1 chisel?

just use non magic gavel's and rock breakers so it only costs 4 to get 20%. If I have extra stacks of scraps and blacksmiths I use them for getting an extra regal or chaos when i sell a set of items to the vendor.

ahhh yeah was stuck thinking 20 to get to 20%. Forgot that's only magic. Makes sense then.

Ok you won't believe it... I actually have 2 of the Item Quantity gems...
One is level 9 and one is level 16 lol. (Standard league of course)
Also the league should start any moment right?

This thread inspired me to pick up gaming after a one year plus absence. Liked POE before but left before Act 4 went active. It's amazing how much I have forgotten.

BTW am I missing something-I see nothing but standard league available now? When is the new temporary league supposed to start? Is it confirmed that it will really only last one month? It's dreary and cold out, perfect day to start a new character but I don't want standard league.

Honestly, the best reason to play new leagues IMO is that it's a great way to build wealth in standard - you can set up a shop and sell mediocre rares for several alts to one chaos early in any new league, income that you would never get in standard.

Requires nolifing the first several days though.

Another good thing is buying good items once you get some currency in a temp league. Since there isn't a huge amount of currency and few people can do things like Atziri, buying mortal sets (mostly just mortal hope) just to resell in standard afterwards is usually worth it. If you can build up some currency and buy things like Mjolner or 6L items, you get a decent jump in price after the league.

I missed it too. Look to the bottom right. It says something like Join 1 Month Flash event/league.
Its pre the select league screen. Then it will give you the option to choose class.

The one-month is technically a "race" not a league. That's why it's in the bottom right instead of the create screen.

My southpaw reaver is getting pretty crazy, I'm up to 6 attacks a second.

I hate my 1 month character.... it's just boring.

Maybe it's just the lower levels though. I have MUCH more fun playing my totem witch at lvl 77+ than I do my Tshot Ranger. It's just so.... slow and uneventful.

I felt that way until I got Cyclone but thoroughly enjoying it now.
Don't get me wrong, I love my witch. :awe:
I would prefer a long league to be honest but this will suffice for now and
it gives me chance to try out different builds.
Truth be told, when they launch the next long league I think I will be running another Cyclone build, its a lot of fun for me especially the in your face game play.

If you're struggling to get interested in the one-month league keep in mind that all the mods will unlock at times. With all the mods unlocked I can literally sit and farm ledge for 7 or 8 hours without getting bored. Encounters are that engaging and loot is that good.

Oh I'll hang in there. I think once I get to GMP (act 4 I think?) and get into Cruel it will pick up. Normal is just so dull.

Tshot picks up big time with GMP. If you get into the 50s I think I found a decent phys bow, if it doesn't sell by the time you get there I'll give it to ya

I got my Bino's Kitchen Knife last night. OH MY GOD. Not only did it double my damage relative to my prior weapon, but THE HEALING IS RIDICULOUS. I fully heal every time I kill something. It's insane.

Halfway towards enough exalts to get Death's Hand, I can't wait.

Yeah Bino's is ridiculous... It's almost unfair. Just have to watch that reflect. Let me know what you think of Death's Hand. I'll get one this league, but its going to take me a week or two.

I finally had a unique wand drop for my Witch... got pretty excited and then ID'ed it to find it's massive bonus to physical. Sigh

I know your pain. I had a Unique Gem drop... Get this

2% Life regen but 10% more Dmg taken..... seriously?

50% increase in mana costs sort of sucks though
that's the problem with uniques -- everyone has these great stats then "OH and this one HUGE negative"

Halfway through first run through, and enjoying myself thoroughly. Is there an AT guild or group I can join? Playing a Shadow caster ball lightning build.

Got my Death's Hand last night.

OH MY GOD.

Packs just melt. Power charges are always up, unholy might is always up. Literally killed Dried Lake Voll in 2 seconds. Just full->dead. He never got a smash off.

I'm also running IR, I have an evasion flask and an armor flask, when I hit both of them I spike to 25k armor, it's hilarious!

AND Taste of Hate dropped off Shavronne in cruel, so I also have that for even more mitigation. Next I guess I should look into getting a Lightning Coil. Then I will truly become a god. Although I think I have to help Aqua get her Kaom's Heart first.
