Yes, maps become available in late Act 3.

You should still play through to Act 4 to complete the quest for a skill point, and because Dried Lake is an amazing farming zone.

I got 2 maps to drop in the second half of Act 2 Merciless
and have just entered Act 3.
Anyways hit level 68 :)

Can you do them yet? Do you unlock the ability to do maps in cruel? Or have to grind to Act 3 Merc for it?

Well they are level 68 ( I think) and they dropped in Merciless act 2.
What level are you? ( Curious not sure on level requirement)

I don't think there's a level requirement. You just have to gain access to the Eternal Laboratory in Act 3 Merciless. I've mapped in the 50's in some previous leagues.

lvl 68?!
Jeebus -- 63 here.

You know what pushed my Leveling speed. I finally got my Totem placement speed up to the point that I can pivot flick, place totem and keep running.
So kiting mobs is easy now... as is popping around a corner throwing down 2 totems and such. My run speed is 30% (maybe more) and DPS at 5.7k per totem is mowing down mobs very quickly.
My totems also last for around 12.5 seconds now.

Yeah, thus far on merciless, I haven't really run into much trouble -- except for the two one-hits I got nailed with last night. Everything else I've pretty much been able to run, drop totems cat flammability and keep running.

I think I could have taken Merveil by myself once I had the cold gear on.

The last skill I took boosted totem placement speed by 30% which helped a ton. :)
Merveil was not too bad. I think my resists were around 45% against cold.
I am capped 75% versus Fire and around 60% versus Lightning.
What is hurting me is Chaos resist. :sneaky: ... and HP only running 3K

My resists suck. I'm going to have to sacrifice DPS for some better defense at this point -- especially in merciless.

HP just south of 3,000 I think.

Let me know what you need gear wise and I will look out for you.
I am going to farm Act 3 heavily (including maps) before touching Act 4.

Any 5L at all, or 4 or 3 L with decent resists I guess. As I said, I gotta start looking into resists.

I can hook you up quite easily with 4L but I am also looking out for 5L.

I will sort out the Guild stash a bit and keep only the high level stuff I find of use for us in TAB 4. If you get a chance as well, please shift low level stuff to its own section, either tab 2 or 3. Honestly we need to glean some of stuff now.
We are running out of room lol.

I have no problem with anyone deleting anything in there they feel is crappy - regardless of level.

Yeah we need to label the tabs too, like a gems tab, leveling gear tab etc. I know the guild won't be super huge but my OCD demands it :awe:

That's true. Can they be labeled? Or is that premium thing?
Feel free to manage the tabs however anyone wants.
No matter to me.

I am still Stoked that I have an ITEM Quantity gem in standard league.
I didn't realize they removed them from the game.
I will definitely be using that to farm once Warband gets merged with Standard.

Most builds don't bother with chaos resist - as long as you have enough HP there are very few threatening sources of chaos damage (mostly Jungle Valley boss - it's a super-powered version of The Weaver from act 2)

Maps can drop in any level 60+ zone, but you can't actually run them until act 3 merc (Eternal Laboratory has to be unlocked) unless you get Zana from a friend or something.

Don't waste your time farming A3 merc - go to A4, get the skill point, then farm Dried Lake. It's better XP and better loot than any other non-map zone, and it's easier than any map.

It' premium tabs only but... I don't think that there are non-premium guild tabs? You have to right click on the tab to customize.

Also I believe you are the only one that can mess with the bank since you're the guild leader. I already tried :D

Also, has it been announced when Warbands is ending? I'm getting bummed that I sense that it's near...makes leveling and farming a bit discouraging since I can't bring myself to do standard league :p

It started along with the Tempest league on July 10, 2015. Both leagues will end October 2, 2015[1]. At the end of the league all characters and stashes will moved to Standard league. Characters that die during the four months will respawn in Warbands.

Dang so only a week left. Blah! I can't stand the thought of playing standard...I guess I can try a few builds out and see what I'll start with the next league. Boo! They should end one day and start a new league the next! (long term league that is)

So when warbands ends (which is what all my toons are under), then what?
I get to keep characters and items and stash, correct? But then we are reverted to standard? I don't get what the ACTUAL difference between Warbands and Standard is then...

One month starts Oct 4th, so Warbands will end sometime on or before Oct 4th.

Why the hate for standard? It's rather nice being able to actually afford things like Alpha's Howl!

It also means I don't have to forfeit my characters!

That being said I play Leagues too, my general rule is new characters get made in current league, use the league to try to acquire whatever will be worth more once it moves to standard (league-specific uniques, warbands blues, etc) to bolster my standard wealth so I can eventually play all the crazy endgame builds!
