Plus, in commercials those little rearview cameras look like the totally suck, this little wide angle lens with a horrible view. There'll probably be more people killed with people using those things to back up instead of just looking around.

1. Infiniti has the best back-up camera in the business.
They include gridlines that serve as a guide for you in reverse.

2. BACKUP CAMERAS ARE NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR ACTUALLY TURNING YOUR HEAD AND CHECKING WHAT'S ACTUALLY BEHIND YOU.

Let them know it is there fault. elt them know they are stupid for filling the lawsuit.

But to call the child ugly was just over the line.

oh and if you really want to let t he people around there know how you feel put an editoral in the paper. I did.

there is no line on the internet, and if you like the paper so much what are you doing online ?

The scary thing is that I can already see the lawsuit coming down the pike post cameras common in all vehicles for lack of proper warning that the camera alone is not enough to ensure safe backing up. I see people on a daily basis back up their vehicles without actually turning around and looking behind them and to the sides. The seem to think they can see everything they need to see in the rearview mirror.

Why namecall? You think there's a "line" on the internet? Since this is referring to calling a dead girl ugly- if that's the worst thing you've ever seen online I think you need to search a bit more.....

They had an Infiniti IIRC

Yep and I think they are optional on Nissan SUVs also.

Yeah looks like they have one for the Armada and some sort of sonar for the Quest... lol.

Reminds me of the controversy around the Audi 5000, I believe it was, about 15-18 years ago. People claimed that the cars would accelerate when their foot was on the brake.
A preacher's wife put their car in reverse inside their garage, and backed through the shut garage door......with their child caught between the car and the garage door.

Problem was, there is no possible way that car could have accelerated from a dead stop with her foot on the brake, as she claimed it was. She said she was pushing the brake pedal as hard as she could to stop the car.....and the only way that could have happened is with her foot on the accelerator.
Having a 2 year old myself, this story hits home for me, but really....there's nobody to blame except the parents.
Why was a 2 year old running around unattended when someone was moving a vehicle?

yeah, that was the thing where "60 minutes" was REALLY bending the truth and using flakey evidence for a good story. Audi should have sued them for lost sales.
