yeah, that was the thing where "60 minutes" was REALLY bending the truth and using flakey evidence for a good story. Audi should have sued them for lost sales.

The did the same thing to Jeep with the CJ-5, saying it was easy to turn over. Well, no shlt. You can look at it and see that.
And remember what NBC did to the Chevy trucks that supposedly had exploding gas tanks....they did a test crash, but put some explosive in there to make sure the truck caught on fire.

That's one example, though they're not as wasteful and they don't have high ground clearance making them a lethal danger to other vehicles they hit.

That's one example, though they're not as wasteful and they don't have high ground clearance making them a lethal danger to other vehicles they hit.

well regardless, what I said still stands... coming in, you can see if anyone's even outside near the driveway... back in. When you're leaving, you've got a no-effort view. This sort of accident happens A LOT to kids.

Sometimes I wish it would happen more often to some kids. I live in an apartment building and my neighbor's kids are always running around in the driveway and the side street while waiting for the bus or after they get home from school. I'm always careful, because I know they're there and completely oblivious to their surroundings. I've even talked to them and their parents about watching out for cars.
The parents reaction: If you hit them, we'll sue.
The kids' reaction: I don't have to listen to you, you're not my parent.
My reaction: All five of these people need to get backed over by an SUV.

This is like the McDonald's Coffee case. It's seems as though they do have a case if they can prove that these accidents happens on a regular basis for nissan and they weren't doing anything to try to prevent it or even informing their customers of such accidents. Don't get me wrong but this is completely stupid and the parents should he held accountable. I really hope they don't win this case cause that means more cost to everyone else. Shouldn't they be watching their kid to know where he's at?

Stupid people should not even be allowed to drive. Nevermind the fact that they could have just as easily run over something else in their big @ss maibatsu monstrosity and it's blind spot, and they woldn't give a sh!t. Does this ever happen in other countries, or are people here slowly going insane?

it's the dumb suv that they all want. cars have blind spots that people are all aware of. If people say that they didn't know the car has blind spots, then they shouldn't be driving.

It sucks, but this happens all the time. It's not the car maker's fault, for sure, but it is a heart break. I don't know why people in those jury's think awarding a huge cash settlement will make the pain of a terrible loss go away. Litigation is out of control in this country.
 
I'll throw my grain of sand in the box. Yes, it is sad that a small child was run over and killed, but damn... that is 100% the father's fault for not knowing his surroundings. I realistically could only imagine that happening to me if I was in a BIG hurry to get somewhere, woke up late from a nap, ran out to the garage, opened it and instantly jumped in the SUV (not knowing my kid was out front) and backing out FAST. But guess what... even if that were the case, it could be considered accidental, but it would still be my fault! This lawsuit is simply rediculous.
 
instead of suing someone for his own stupidity that fathe shoudl put a bullet in his own head. How can you live with yourselft after something like thise accident or not, I would never be able to be happy in life again

If he really wanted a camera, he should've spent more and bought something that had it.
I bet he wasn't thinking about a camera when he purchased it.
