Update: If you click on "Tools" and lower your connection speed (on the viewing computer) by 100-200 kbits...you don't get any lag with the video (that is...if you did before)...the quality is scaled back a bit, but at least it doesnt buffer every 2 seconds 😛

How are people finding the live streaming video? That's very important to me and might upgrade my system just for this app.

hmm...looks like this Tivo addon could use some work...it keeps asking me for my playback password on the Orb host machine. Which is fine and good while testing at that machine...but wtf am I supposed to do when I'm away from this machine?

I know there are multiple processes running, but are the main processes multi-threaded? because i'm running a dual 1900+ mp system, and wondering if i will be limited to only one processor running the compression?

concerning multiple logins, you can make different user names for your friends. myself and 3 of my co-workers all listen to my music streaming from my apt.
of course, i'm the only one with access to photos.

I tried this out with both my AMD 1600 w/ 1GB RAM and the 2500 barton w/ 512 MB RAM. Both gave me crazy buffering problems with video. Perhaps its my work settings, I'l have to try on a friend's network. Currently using Comcast Cable, but hoping to switch to Verizon whne they get the Fiber Optic all up and running. Buddy has it with 15 mb/sec and its amazing - was little over $50 a month I believe.

How long did you have to wait to get your TV listings up? Do I have to register at the labs.zap2it.com to get tv listings to work or something?

How's the quality of the video? I just got Axim X50V and was thinking about streaming via wi-fi..

Wow! This thing is sweet. My tv listings finally came up. Although it does take up alot of CPU. Must get dual core!

Just tried watching some Tivo content on my Audiovox SMT 5600 and it works!

The video is a little jerky but audio was fine. Very cool product.
