It's amazing how much the right just ignores what the man and this admin says to justify everything they do.

When the president signed an executive order in July, related to the construction of a ballroom, he made a rather specific promise. “It won’t interfere with the current building,” he said. “It won’t be. It’ll be near it but not touching it — and pays total respect to the existing building, which I’m the biggest fan of. It’s my favorite. It’s my favorite place. I love it.”

Then they claimed the East Wing was separate from the White House itself to justify that comment.

Not to mention the fact this was never approved by the group that , you know, approves these things. "we aren't building, we are doing site preparation".

This assumes he's gonna leave ... remaking the WH in the image of his golden Mar A Lago doesn't seem like the action of someone that thinks they're ever gonna be out of there.

But you're right. Assuming someone sane ever gets back in charge of all of this, there absolutely must be repercussions for ALL of this. A lot of people need to spend a lot of time in jail for a lot of things.

Conversely him talking about getting into heaven a lot recently potentially indicates that he will be leaving just feet first and possibly not in the distant future.

If this country survives, we may ultimately be grateful that he rapidly incinerated his and the GOP’s political capital prior to death.

So many of his dementia-addled actions are centered on petty grievances, most of which hurt him and the GOP politically. Going after Comey/Bolton are fruitless escapades that only reinforce my suspicion that he’s starting to fear the reaper in a big way and wants to shit on his detractors one last time.

I'm sorry I'm beside myself at this moment. I just saw on MSNBC that Trump is going to sue the US Government, DOJ for $230 million, for the Rusia investigation, and (I don't know whether to laugh or cry) invasion of privacy for the stolen classified documents case. You can't make this shit up!

Is there a real patriot out there somewhere. My ability to accept this as reality is going to throw me over the edge, I swear!

And who would approve the settlement? Some bootlicker on the DOJ.

You would think people who have complained about "wasteful spending", lack of "meritocracy", "law and order", and whatever other bullshit would be incensed right about now, but it's just crickets, "I never heard about it", or "let me pick at some nits while ignoring the rest of the post".

If the Democrats aren’t drafting a bill or amendment to a bill to prohibit this they are politically incompetent.

They probably can’t stop Trump from stealing $230 million of taxpayer funds but they can at least make Republicans say they think it’s fine.
