You're right... It's easy for me to be witty, charming, "impressive" online but it takes me a while to warm up to a person in the real world. She's here for a week and, while I don't want a relationship with her (she lives in LONDON) I want to charm her enough that she looks me up when/if she decides to go to school here, know what I mean? I don't want to "mack" it, I just want to be charming and nice, regardless of the future.

I wouldn't worry about appearances, I've met so many of my real life friends now from the internet, infact just this weekend I ended up going to a huge event with someone I've known online for 2 years and we were practically like best friends. (see sig)

First 5 minutes of meeting someone are the strangest, after an hour just keep talking and you should be fine..

You know, I used to do that when I was a kid - lie to people. Now I'm brutally honest about myself, makes things easier in the end. I told her I'm fat and showed her a picture, she knows that I have an entry level job, she knows lots about me.

I guess you guys are right, I'm nervous about that first few minutes... The first meeting. i'm also nervous because we have three more .. umm.. "dates?".. scheduled - what if she hates me after the first one? I'm just excited, not in a purile way, more like a kid in a candy store. We have a lot in common and she likes me! I just hope she likes me in person too.
