Admiting to pirating is a bannable offense. You might have screwed up here.

Actually I mentioned torrents but not of what. Could be a few linux distros, or a beta of windows, you get the drift... :D But admit it, everybody does it. 99% of home windows installations are pirated. Who actually buys windows, or office, for home? You could spent that 1k+ on a whole new pc instead.

Also piracy != stealing. Stealing is taking something away. Piracy just makes a copy, and does not cause anything to be missing or damaged.

Windows doesn't cost 1 thousand dollars dude. Just buy the freaking copy.

Second, argued ad nauseum blah blah blah I'm still not wrong. It's not stealing. Nobody's losing any money or any data or any item.

That says it all.

I think you're reading "I'm still not wrong" as "it's still not wrong."

Also, they AREN'T losing any money directly, though they are losing money indirectly. I'm sure there are some people who would have actually bought something but decided to pirate instead. But if you are a compulsive pirate, you're not really depriving the RIAA/MPAA of anything because you wouldn't have bought that stuff in the first place.

Now you arent just a pirate, you are a moron.

So says the idiot who randomly accuses people of pirating even when they specifically mentioned they don't pirate.

Re-read your post. It could be read either way. Then give yourself a gold star and a pat on the back.

Sounds like another fucking pirate who's trying to justify his rig full of pirated materials.

This post does not apply to you if you are indeed not a pirate (laugh)

I'm out.

True... it's an easy misunderstanding but imagine if I said "I never use a chainsaw to murder people." "Never" could just as easily apply to only the words "use a chainsaw" as it could apply to the entire sentence.

I know what your problem is but I will not correct it because it keeps me undetected and keeps you in the open.

Carry on.

If you cant see how that could be interpreted as you dont use Bittorrent specifically to pirate, you probably went to a school on a bus with seatbelts.

Seriously man, calm down. Apparently, using the proper definition of a word is something only software pirates do.

It's easy to take up the "It's not stealing!" slogan if you have nothing at stake.

Cite one single case where RIAA or MPAA filed charges against someone for stealing when internet piracy was involved.

Go ahead, I'll wait.

Wow, semantics.

So is embezzlement not "stealing" just because it is a different charge?

Holy shit.

How does this matter AT ALL if we are both in agreement that copyright infringement is wrong?

How do you feel about people who pirate and buy music and movies?

You won't get off the stealing kick. Read my second post in this thread. If you're going to be a raging keyboard warrior, the least you can do is get your shit straight before you start flinging it.

I personally don't care since whoever it was that put in the hardwork will get compensated in the end.

Yes, I know it's not right but it's an "ends justifies the means" approach.

I don't care of Joe Schmoe downloads 10 albums from an artist if Joe Schmoe goes and attends 15 concerts + merch (as an example)

No, fuck that shit, lay it out

1. Piracy is not stealing - Fine, whatever
2. You don't condone copyright infringement - Yes or no?
3. People who infringe on others copyrights deserve to be punished - Yes or no?

How is it wrong? Your little theory that it cant be stealing because the name of the charge is different was blown out of the water, so now you resort to calling names.

Do your parents still make you eat at the kiddie table on Thanksgiving when they start talking about big people stuff?

Basically my feelings on the matter as well. Unfortunately the law doesn't take stuff like that into account, though. :p

Office does. Then again if I *HAD* to buy it I'd use Open Office. I've actually been thinking of uninstalling Office and going with OO.
