If you didn't download it, protest. Otherwise, fess up, turn in your man card, and swear to them it won't happen again.

I got a DMCA notice once, but it was for a TV show.

Edit: To Verizon, not to the rights holder. Never contact the rights holder unless they're subpoena-ing your ass. In which case you should lawyer up and not talk to them anyways.

Wait I thought this was a western like Tombstone or Wyatt Earp. No?

I don't remember Doc Holladay giving it to Earp in the butt at the OK coral, but maybe I'm thinking of a different movie?

No, I'm positive you are wrong, you may equate it to "stealing" in your mind. But it is still legally copyright infringement.

Fine, whatever, STOP DOING IT. (not aimed at you, just anybody engaging in such activities)

This was your first and only warning, you now have 3 navy seal snipers trained in on you, one pointing at your head, another at your heart and the last on your dick. Pirates will be negotiated with, gay pirates... not so much.

Did they email this to you or was this sent postal mail?

And no, I did not receive one. Mainly because I did not download Brokeback Mountain. 😀

First, now you're on their radar, so if you know what is good for you you'll kill any file sharing that is going on. Just turn it off. Don't download or upload any copyrighted content for at LEAST a month, if you do, invest in a private proxy service.

Second, download less of the sketchy stuff and never upload...they don't usually get you for downloading it...they nip you for uploading...

Thirdly. LULZ!!!!urwatchingaycowboys!

Nothing was taken. The original file was never removed from the owner. Nothing was taken from anyone. A copy was made.
