local 18-year-old Meghan Agosta is on the team!! :)

edit: heh. watched quite enough of that :) One of Canada's players had a hat-trick in the first 7 minutes of the game. :Q

Italy's team has 15-year-old players!! :Q to keep it interesting, i was actually counting each one of Italy's shots as goals. lol

They play Russia today......should be another easy win.

When NBC learns how to cover an olympics I'll probably start paying attention again.

I went to HS with two girls on the women's hockey team. One of them, Sarah Parsons, was in my grade and is just filthy. In HS she was a 6 year varsity player and is already dominating the games as an 18 year old.

edit: Damn, watch the highlights of their game today and see what I'm saying.

Bah, Michelle Kwan is overrated. So are most olympic figureskaters for that matter. Real Olympic athletes don't let a minor injury sideline them, they fight through it and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

There is a reason why Kerri Strug has a gold medal and Michelle Kwan doesn't. Kerri wanted it bad enough to keep competing when she got hurt, and Kwan didn't.

downhill skiing, short track skating and halfpipe on tonight. In glorious HD.

These are some of the most exciting events in the olympics IMHO.

I wish they would quit telling me who won what before it is aired.

Either way, the height of some of White's airs I witnessed in practice were pretty sick.

Well we did invent it. You'd think we'd be good at it.

I remember when they FINALLY let it in the olympics. I think there are other events as well - downhill/slalom, maybe boarder cross?

Definately a young sport. I recall not being allowed on the mountain back in the mid 80s. Now half of the tickets sold are boarders.
