Hugh Jackman replaced Dougray Scott.

Am I the only one who thought wolvie had a more accurate "attitude" in the first movie? At least in the first half of X1, he was the wolverine i remember: gruff, anti-social, anti-authority, the lone wolf, and the guy who doesnt take crap from NO ONE. Yeah, hugh jackman was a bit tall, but he portrayed the attitude pretty well. The short-man complex, the lone wolf syndrome, the witty, cocky SOB, the "i'm the best there is at what i do" attitude.
i.e. ...
Wolverine: Sabertooth? [looks at Storm] Storm. [looks at Xavier] What do they call you? "Wheels"? This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
-----------------------------------
Wolverine: Get out.
Rogue: Where am I supposed to go?
Wolverine: I don't know.
Rogue: You don't know, or you don't care?
Wolverine: Pick one.
He seemed wittier, tougher, and more sarcastic in the first one. As someone else pointed out, he was too "civilized" in X2.

Yeah, I thought he acted more in character in the first movie. In the first movie I remember thinking that Hugh Jackman as being dead on in his portrayal of Wolverine.
In the 2nd movie, we had to wait near the end when he used the word "Bub"...

I wish there was some way to bring back the Kelly Hu character. She is just so hot! I've always been attracted to her since I saw her in Martial Law.
This isn't an 'issue' I have with the movie, but I'm curiuos. Could Nightcrawler save Rogue like that? Doesn't he go into another dimension and walk around to 'teleport'? Hence the sulfer smell and the puff of smoke.Originally posted by: SaltBoy
Nobody's mentioned the scene where Nightcrawler rescues Rogue after she's sucked out of the plane. That scene ruled my bee-hind like nothing else!![]()

in xmen1, he rip off the roof of the railway station.
in x2, his optic rays wreck the whole dam when jean deflects.
so, in a way, cyclops' da man who "killed" jean eh?
perhaps the director is compensating cyclops' lack of screen time by showing off his awesome rays~?

He didn't act like that after the Statue of Liberty scene. He realized he had to "tone it down" because he was kind of a role model for the kids.

For those going off about the Professor "freezing time," I think he was just freezing everyone in the area in place, telepathically. Basically shutting down their brains. In the comic book, Kurt was rescued from a rooftop of a house in Germany that the villagers were trying to burn down after chasing him there. Professor X froze everyone in place (much as in the movie) when he did that.
he wasn't freezing time, he was getting in people's heads and making them think that he was freezing time.
