1) Ukraine will be forced into giving up land for a temporary "peace" settlement, without real guarantee of any U.S. or NATO protection, before the end of 2025. Russia will reopen the war either on Ukraine or another European country (once again under false pretenses) by 2028.

2) Following Russia's win in Ukraine, at least 2 new countries in Europe will go nuclear for self defense before the end of Trump's term.

3) China will threaten to shut off both air and sea access to Taiwan in 2027 prior to their next elections claiming it all as Chinese territory, and will fully implement it in 2028 if Taiwan fails to elect a China-friendly government for "reunification"

4) Trump will declare victory after removing ~1 million immigrants and shutting off most legal immigration routes from "undesirable" nations, but without actually significantly increasing the rate of removals from the current 30-35k/month

5) Republicans will kill the filibuster in the Senate to pass some of Trump's more aggressive policies that can't be snuck in via budget reconciliation or executive orders.

6) Trump will ignore the law to implement illegal policy changes via executive orders. And will ignore federal court orders halting his actions.

I think you take whatever your worst guess is, and then use that as the best case baseline. He's going in even more unhinged and with nothing but enablers around him.
It's going to be a huge shit-show. That's for sure. Fasten your seat belt while the Orange Felon runs amok!

Goodbye constitution ...

Republicans will not kill the filibuster because the filibuster is already killed for the things they want to do. It has been for a long time.

I wanna hear you guys if you find it plausible that a major left leaning outlet is gonna get shut down, lose broadcasting license or whatnot... Is it gonna happen?

No it’s not going to happen and why would it? Less and less people are getting their news from traditional media and Trump basically has two social media networks and a traditional media network to spread his propaganda. Besides, the “left leaning” networks make great boogeymen.

Look the voters decided to let one rich guy and another super rich guy take an ax to spending because that sounded like a good idea and will pay for their huge tax cut. Unfortunately that spending is probably going to be stuff like Medicare. Just giving the people what they want.

Yeah, the common misconception that the government is spending trillions and trillions of dollars each year outside of entitlements and defense spending and there is vast savings to be had just speaks once again to how uniformed the average voter is. The only way to effect massive cuts in spending will have to hit SS and Medicare hard plus defense.

Winner winner, chicken dinner.

If you look at spending, the US Government is basically a retirement fund and insurance company with a military.

There might be savings to be found, but ask the typical person where and what to cut, you'll get a million different things that are trivial in cost, and no consensus. Just look at the boondoggle the military has faced trying to save a few billion by cutting the A-10.

It will also headshot the economy. That money doesn't just go into thin air, it's used to buy stuff companies make and employ people to do all kinds of jobs. Implementing massive sudden austerity is not a good idea.

Even better if it’s combined with stupid high tariffs at the same time. The boom times will be amazing.

Thank you all! I'm having the time of my life laughing my ass off. You really didn't see this coming after the last 3 1/2 years ? Gosh and you treated President Trump so fairly since 2016! Who would ever have expected this?
You are just like the Republicans of Alabama. You rather elect a real pedophile vs electing a good Democrat. Black people saved the state from Roy Moore but not enough of us to save the country. Meanwhile keep bitching about law enforcement bringing up all the dead bodies around Jeffrey Dahmer. I guess we should have ignored them.

In other words, Tuesday

Anyone want to explain to me why you don't think it's over for us?

"But Trump can't do that" doesn't mean shit anymore. Dissolve the Senate? Run for a third term? Why not? All you need is imagination.

Or they wait for a bunch of negative info to come out on him which is gonna surely leak soon then people will whisper to Trump to chuck him. Finding a yes man the Senate will confirm is not hard.

Left leaning networks, that's funny.
