Russell's got the most brutal social game perhaps in the history of survivor. That's not very beneficial when coming back to play with others wet behind the ears, knowing all about him. He's much better off with a larger group of veterans including other villains.

Russel on Hereos vs Villians had never been seen by the other veteran tribe members - his show had not aired yet while they were in jungle viling the HvsV series. If the vets had seen his game they would have booted him quickly as he does not play nice with others.

Also, Russel got a chance to learn from his mistakes; The first two times were back-to-back and he just didn't have any way of knowing that being a freaking rock star from mars was not how to win.

Hahaha... I love how Rob's team is so demoralized. Phillip has no game whatsoever. What a terrible way to blackmail. He should have told the entire tribe what he told Rob about what was gleaned at the Redemption Island Challenge and asked everyone else if Rob let everyone in his alliance in on his secret.
 
Poor, poor, Russell, he really did care that people hate him. They hurt his wittle feelwings and made him cry like a bitch.
 
So sad to see Russel go ... I agree in a way though with what he said. his team wasn't even focusing on the game and rather on just getting rid of 1 single person. they made up their mind they wanted to get rid of him before even playing the game with him.

i really hope the purple team gets screwed now. and throwing a challenge is just pathetic in anything.

rooting for Rob now.
 
Totally not fair for Russell. It would be like trial by jury but everyone on the jury is related to the victim and heard all about you on the news. You don't have a chance in hell. He had a target on his back from the whole island the moment his name was spoken.

Russell would have been in awe and smiling in respect if he'd have been outplayed, backstabbed, and blind sided and proud to admit he never saw it coming because he respects the game that much. But this was just bullshit, the reason for his elimination was outside the scope of the game and due entirely to preconception and an unfair advantage of prior knowledge, it had zero to do with the events or the game itself, that's why he's pissed.

No way to have a fair or impartial game when you mix new and old and everyone is fully informed about one person but not anybody else. I noticed he was altering his strat from the start of this game and not being as aggressive this time and was curious as to whether or not he'd finally learned something from his mistakes the last two times, but he never had a chance from the moment his feet touched the sand when he got off the helicopter.

Agree & Disagree -

Russel had a target on his back on day one but made it 10X bigger when he stole the clue, acted like a bitch and lied, and then proceeded to have an egotistical attitude. The team knew for harmony to happen and the tribe to come together they need to carve off the cancer named Russel. That tribe rocked in the immunity challenge and is up 2 members again.

No more veteran players Survivor Producers! - half the fun of survivor is watching the tribes figure out the game while watching them make dumb mistakes. I'd really like to get back to two challenges for each of the tribes. Its really demoralizing when you win nothing!
 
I hated Russell when I saw his first couple episodes ever, and I only started watching every episode for the first time to see them catch his cocky already rich ass dumping out the water and vote him off...until you see just how repeatedly stupid everyone else was and realize he was only speaking the truth the whole time.

My respect for him was cemented in that first season when he was just laid back enjoying the rain, and talked about how everybody else just wants to bitch and moan about it but won't get off their ass and do anything about it. Been rooting for him ever since.

Not quite the same. He has experience, but is also with new people with new personality dynamics and he's outnumbered. Past experience means little if you happen to encounter smarter people this time around and can't get away with your bullshit and get caught with your pants down. Also in challenges, there could be new people who are bigger faster stronger and flat out own you, past experience has little benefit there either.

Due to dynamics of new personalities and bodies and being outnumbered, him having past experiences with reading different people in a previous game is far far less of an advantage than a dozen people who already know who you are and know they have to get you out before the game even starts.

Here its how stupid Phillip is. He wasted a vote going with who Rob told him to at the last minute, with belief that Robs alliance was strong and in control and that he was voting with them by going with who Rob tells him. etc. But he was the only vote for that person... Totally manipulated by Rob to achieve three things at one council and he never even questioned why he was the only vote for her and it never clicked with him that Rob lied to him about who was going home...

I also got a kick out of Rob s cover story to hunt for the idol. They could have caught him with shovel in hand digging a hole behind a tree...hey I told you a had to take a massive shit :awe:

And yes... No more "all-stars" and again separate the reward and immunity challenges.
 
Hes either full of shit and he's just acting or its the reason he's a "former" agent lol. That's not something you run around mouthing off about lol.

He's dumb as a brick with a 5 second attention span and does what he's told and everybody knows he can't keep his mouth shut. All assets to other players like Rob who have him figured out like a lego set. He's going to go far because, in the words of Russell, he will be manipulated and used to benefit others then thrown away like trash when he's no longer needed.

I'm going to ROFL if he's taken to near the end because of this, but then turns around with a different persona and proves to be smarter than he acts and screws up everybody before they can get rid of him.

Exactly. I don't believe Russell is upset just for losing, he doesn't care about or need the money, he's there only for the game and to fuck with people. He's more upset that he was outed simply because he is Russell and that he didn't go out in style legitimately by being beat by the game itself. Hes the type of personality like myself whos ego needs logical justification for losing and needs to lose in fierce competition to the death by being unmistakably and definitively out skilled for it to be satisfying, not by hollow meaningless fluke. A personality like Russell would rather you fight and win than just throw in the towel and deprive him of a fight. Depriving of any fight at all win or lose is the cruelest thing a person like that can experience.

I can just picture him with a grin of disbelief and shaking his head, and beating himself up for not seeing it coming, if he'd had been blind sided or beat in the game. He's in it for the thrill and drama, and there was no thill or drama involved in how he lost. It was a weak and hollow defeat with no substance. Its like your sports team forfeiting rather than playing and getting their ass beat legit.

Like he said, he lost before the game started simply because he is Russell, not because he lost the game... well except for the duel, he fucked that up himself lol. I yelled out "dumb ass worry about your own shit, don't stop and turn around to watch Matts attempt"
