Making them look like a bunch of idiots now for getting rid of Russel. Your alliance and plans don't matter if you can't win immunity challenges as a team. Russel was right, you go into a merge with numbers and to do that you have to win challenges.

Well you never know in survivor, they could shake it up and rearrange the tribes at any time. It was good to get Russel out of there when they did. Besides if Russel can't control you then you are his target. Plus the hillbilly hadn't told everyone he found the hidden immunity idol. I think alot of them were afraid that he might have it or get it soon. At that point in the game they were somewhat confident he didn't have it yet. It was just bad luck that they kept losing challenges.

Did anyone else LOL when Ralph said he didn't know what "cohesive" meant? I don't know how Jeff could keep a straight face. Maybe clever editing.

Ralph is possibly the dumbest player ever. The tribe is falling apart. With the merge comming, once again they made the wrong choice and instead of keeping the loyal person, they are going into the merge with a person who will most likely flip on them.
Their first mistake was to trow the challenge to get rid of Russel. They would be much further ahead had they kept him.

To be fair, they don't know when the merge is coming. For all they know, it wouldn't happen until they get down to 10 players (including the Redemption Island player).

While I agree with your 1st point, your 2nd point about Russel is way off. In fact it almost contradicts your 1st point. The ONLY thing having Russel in camp does is cause stress, turmoil, controversy, backstabbing and uneasiness. I'm not sure how a team/alliance/tribe/group can be better with that. He was and is hardly ever overly productive in challenges too.

Shakes head at Matt. What was he thinking or can he not think? It would suck to spend the whole month or so on redemption island.

Matt... Matt... Matt... what can I say? You had the opportunity to change the game... you didn't take it and decided to put your faith back into the hands of the tribe that voted you out the first time around. Ouch!

Poor Matt..."I was going to turn on you but I decided to lean towards the moral decision of being faithful." LOL

He sealed his fate, no one to blame but himself. Matt also won't survive redemption island this time imo...the people booted that he'ill face will be tougher than the early cast-offs.

Already to the merge and still no one but Rob has done anything witty to advance their game.

best part of it all was when the Dave on the Zapatera (think that is his name), after someone said something like "wow what was that?" and he replied "genius is what that was!"

it really was genius. Matt (the one voted out) was the only chance the Zapatera tribe had at getting numbers and flipping someone, and Rob knew this and handled the problem as it should be.

i like that guy a lot, he is the only person on the Zapatera tribe that I will pull for to win anything. everyone else from that tribe is a huge idiot and i hope they all lose. showed how stupid they were using that idol and just throwing it away.

won't be surprised if he goes to rob in next weeks episode and basically says I WANT IN!

EDIT: changed Matt to Dave, thanks her209

The Robfather strikes again! He's really a man among boys and girls in his approach to the game. They'll eventually figure it out and find a way to vote him out again.

Damn that Natalie girl that won immunity is a cutie.

i find it pretty f'ing hilarious how Zapatera is getting picked off one by one just as Russel told them will happen. Russel made is SSSSOOO clear that you HAVE to go into the merge with numbers, and they all brushed it off as though it didn't matter at all. i'm extremely happy to see that tribe stinking it up because they have absolutely no clue how to play survivor. the fact that Julie was saying how "mean" it was to vote Matt off pretty much sums it up that she has no clue what she is doing.

i also found it funny when Ralph went to the 2 girls and said something along the lines of "we can talk about family stuff later, we want to play the game" when Ometepe is actually playing the game and has been playing all along.

love how Zapatera is right now in the same situation that Russel was in early on in the game, and now Zapatera doesn't see it as "playing the game" lol. what goes around comes around idiots.

at the reunion show, Russel is either not going to show up, he will show up and be a total bore and not say anything, or he will show up and totally rub it into Zapatera tribe at how stupid they were. i'm personally hoping for the 3rd option heh.

Next three weeks should be pretty boring. Pick off the last of the Zapatera tribe, maybe get interesting as the last member gets immunity.

shaping up to be entertaining.

I do like Dave on Zapaterra. He's the only one that gets it. As purbeast0 said, I'd cheer for him winning it all to be honest. He just got stuck on the wrong tribe.

Rob is INCREDIBLY good, and smug about it. His smuggness is almost likable too. I mean I do like it, but... it's still just being smug. It IS hilarious though. I will give him that. It's unbelievable how he is playing these people.

Grant is a machine. He dominates (or comes close to dominating) almost every physical challenge. It's impressive.

Something is going to flip soon though. It will be interesting to see if Rob's tribe holds their alliance to the final 6. I've said this for a dozen seasons; I simply do not understand why in the very beginning people just don't hold to a TRUE alliance. No bullshit, no flipping etc. If you just hold a solid majority for 1/2 the game, you made it through 1/2 the game. It seems like solid logic. EVERYONE in your alliance hold true until you are the last men standing, then start the in-fighting and back stabbing. But you can at lease secure yourself a chance at a final run.

Stealth-R-Us? H_O_L_Y S_H_I_T
Somehow I still think he is a sleeper pick. He's nuts, but then again, he's still there.

oh yea speaking of Stealth R Us ... i'm really beginning to think Phillip is a lot smarter than he is leading us to believe. i am starting to believe he is truly putting on an act somewhat and knows exactly what he is doing. and it is starting to work for him as well.

Totally agree. There are moments sometimes that he seems to be totally "with it" and has some whit about him. As I said before, he may be the ULTIMATE sleeper/surprise pick.

...or he's just fucking nuts.

I don't get why Grant doesn't flip on Rob and take over his alliance. Does he think Rob will take him to the finals if Rob had it his way? Was funny seeing Grant go against Rob and eating the cooked fish. IMO, Grant is on the bottom of his alliance. Grant is a physical threat which means he may be able to win his way to the final two or three. Strategically, Rob has this game locked down. But he comes off as cocky when he's doing his interviews.

Did I miss it? There are three people on redemption island now. Are they just going to hold all the new castoffs there for awhile and then have one big contest where winner gets back in the game? Did they explain that at all?

This season has been good because there has been a couple of good surprises.

I would love it if Phillip got to the final two and got to plead his case to the jury, then all of a sudden he was all normal and explained the whole crazy thing was all an act.

Yeah, not sure how this will resolve.

Love Phillip and his feather "out of thin air" :)

"Maybe next time a whole bird will appear?!?" - Ralph (who has had some good one-liners this season and I think is smarter than he is portrayed. I'm guessing the gameplan with Ralph by the producers was "here's a guy that sounds and looks like a dumb hick, but has some serious smarts to him. Sadly, he just got on the losing team to start.)

If Grant were smart, as her209 pointed out, he'd have to realize that he's on the bottom of the alliance. He's WAY too strong of a thread to win individual immunity (already won 1 and was close one other time I think?) There's no way he'd make it to the final.

Rob will make it to the final as people will say they will want him there as nobody would vote for him since he's a Survivor icon/pro/etc. But, he technically has never won, and out of all the seasons, he has totally dominated this one thus far and people would have to at least give him credit for that. He wouldnt' be getting to the final like Russel has in the past, Rob did it while still playing the social game. He knows that and is doing everything in his power to NOT look like the asshole (though that curtain is lifting now I think).
