you're just buying games because they are cheap? seems like a waste of money...but then again, AT members are millionaires.

Isn't that something you call "disposable income"? Unless you're working some menial, burger flipping job or living way beyond your means, spending a few bucks on some game that's on sale isn't a big deal. Heck, you even get to tell yourself you did good by saving all that money !

They're good games and many are worth buying but I never got them at full price, and if I'm even somewhat interested in playing them, it's just not smart to pass them up when they are so cheap.

Yes it basically appeals to railroad fans only. It's not really a game but a boring train simulation. I bought it coz I fell in love with trains after my trips to Japan

As a simulator is it really good as in something that could replace a model train set? I take it you can't build your own table sort of speak and build a train around a scene?

I wonder if there's any mods for this game, it seems like a colossal waste that put out a product like this without being able to pick up some coal at the mine, deliver it to a steel mill, drop that off at a city with a car production facility and then steam on into another city selling cars off your flat beds :D

Is a control pad the optimal input method for AC2?

I use the keyboard + 2 button mouse standard setup, and after 2h of gaming I can move quite well, but fighting is still just tapping "hit" + random clicking on all the rest of the buttons :p

...but the closest I've been to dying, is falling from rooftops, jumping into oblivion hoping for something to land on, only to find out it's going to be the ground 40ft below.

After the BF sale, and the Xmas sale so far, I have no hope for STEAM sales any more.

Last year I got a bunch of games I wanted for cheap. This year it's the same games I already have or games I have no interest in.

Yeah I'm gunning for Mass Effect 1/2 today and/or Dragon Age Ultimate in the $25 region.

So, any chance of LucasArts and Steam announcing that The Force Unleashed II is now $14?

I have a backlog of at least 50 games that I haven't played. I'll buy them if they're on sale, reasoning that I'll get to them "some day." If not, at least I'm supporting Steam, because if we don't get behind this digital distribution thing, it may not make it.

Agreed on all points.

i love going to the movies. way more than playing games. If I can get a big game for half the price, or 20% less than a single movie ticket, I consider that an awesome deal.

I wouldn't buy them just because they're cheap, though. has to be something I'd be interested in. I suppose that is what you are suggesting...
