Any of you on Shii-Cho Republic side, we started a channel today to try and help with finding groups for flashpoints and quests not on your current planet. If you want to join the command is "/cjoin GLFG" (Global Looking For Group). And spread the word to help us get more people in it...

Unless your companion has a channeled or cast-time ability I don't think they'll get much out of alacrity; though if one of them does a lot of DoT damage it may cause them to tick more in the same period of time if you get enough alacrity, I'm not really sure.

I have noticed that it seems like Xalek's absorption percent is not increasing at all with absorption rating, so maybe companions can't benefit from certain ratings or maybe it's a bug or maybe it's just a big with the companion sheet itself.

Then again, I only list TH/UT mission mats and crafted pieces so it's really easy now (at 50).

hmm other than mandalorian iron i cant get any metals to sell from UT (ive only tried grade 5 or whatever the highest is though). The companion gifts are the same way for the most part. To cheap to really make a profit on or want to bother with anyways.

I wonder how the sith market it

I highly, HIGHLY recommend setting it up. It's a minor annoyance needing your phone to login every time, but it is well worth it for the added protection. It's the only way to guarantee that you don't get any kind of keylogger that will allow takeover of your account. And on top of the protection, you can buy the fleet passes for 1000credits. They can really be a time saver in this game.

Just go to the swtor website and login to your account. There are detailed instructions on how to activate it.

Quick FYI: dougp found out the hard way that if you set up a security key, you can NOT remove it or change it to a different device later. Keep that in mind if you upgrade phones often.

That said, I ordered the security key dongle from EA the other day with a giftcard I had a low balance on that I needed to waste.

Swah?! That is fucking stupid. I don't change phones often, but will most certainly do so at some point in the future. Did he have to contact customer service? Or was it literally impossible, byebye account if he couldn't keep the old phone?

He hasn't bothered.

I did look on the boards though, and there's a very recent post with a CS rep responding - if you CALL CS, apparently they will help you with it.

untrue.

it's not automated like blizzard's system, where you can do everything yourself online.
i originally got the key fob and set it up because they didnt have the droid app at the time.
then they came out with the droid app so I contacted customer service once i looked around and didnt see a way to do it myself. they took off the key fob and i added it on my phone, no issues. i did it via email btw. no calling needed.

Now, more stories from the trenches...

Yesterday was going on day three where repub pugs on my server seemed to have had their brains turned into jelly or something. Three days I had been working on trying to do the warzone daily. *sigh*

So finally, last game of the night for me, I get queued into Civil War (The one with the turrets). Our team composition looks okay, a few noobs, a few 40's, and me, a 33 Shadow. The match starts and I hop on my speeder, flying around, finally get near the landing point and before I'm off my speeded I spy an Imp already capping the middle turret. WTF?! A few others noticed him, mid already capped before we can do anything about it. Then, he takes off like a bat out of hell for the left turret. Yup... speed hack.

Ironically enough, he never managed to cap anything else from there. And also seemed to have disappeared too. So we were down an early hole, playing from behind. The Imps seemed to be resting on their laurels in their tray-tables in the upright and locked positions, so I stealth up and head to the right turret only to find a sniper in cover. I walk up to scout if there's any stealthers backing him up, and find nothing. So I take up position behind the control point putting it directly between me and him for line of sight. Better yet, I noticed I had backup coming, and this snipers wasn't moving even a twitch. So I unstealth and cap it with the sniper not even noticing me. Once capped, I turn around and backstab him a couple times as he was all like "wtf" trying to kill my backup.

At that point we capped and held left and right for a good while, eventually taking the lead. Finally imps mounted some offense and pushed us off, but it didn't take long for us to come back. We finally won the match with about 25 points to spare. Just goes to show you... cheaters never win.

Mild brag, broke 10M credits last night :D

Then 11M this morning but I told one of my hopeless friends I'd help him out once I broke 8 digits so he's getting 500k in the mail lol, he won't know what to do with himself.

Did you stand exactly where the speeder spawns and right click on it's area until it appears so you get on it as fast as humanly possible? Did you use a speed boost ability that many classes have as soon as you landed? I don't know, I've played a lot of PvP and never seen this, but have seen 1 person use the ship to jump over the barrier before the round starts on The Voidstar.

Anyone here on the 'Port Nowhere' server? If so, send me a PM. Lvl 46 sith sorcerer. Always looking for more buddies to hit up missions or potentially go PVP (just started that actually).

I have done 60-70% of my missions with a buddy, and this has kept me right about at each planet's level so far. I do most of the side missions, and most of the heroics (but I generally don't replay them much). I consciously was trying to not over-level so I could enjoy the challenges and not just breeze through.

Will say that at lower levels I could solo or dual-play some of the flashpoints. Definitely not the case with lvl 30+ when they are at your level.

Pshh, that is peanuts :). Tell me when you reach the 25M mark. This is after purchasing a 1.5M speeder and power leveling 3 different crafting skills on 3 different alts going for full purple crafting schematics. :p

No. This was a genuine speed hack. There's a few youtube clips of it in action. There's also a website/forum devoted to game hacks that has links to an app that allows this (along with several other hacks) that's easily google-able.

The individual in question was moving faster than possible - permanently - via any speed boost means. As I said, it was pretty funny that we managed to win regardless.

Give it time, though as I understand it Daragon Trail is not one of more inflated worlds either so it keeps prices down on a lot of hot items relative to what I hear from other servers.

I actually don't hit the GTN at all. I have really bad luck on it, so I just dump all my stuff to guildmates or my alts.

Most of my money is from my main character that gathers materials and money (Slicing, scavenging, UT). Having a stealth character makes slicing viable as I can stealth around mobs that guard nodes and sleep dart when necessary. This nets me around 50k every 15min and constantly doing dailies helps a lot. For the dailies, I have a friend that is an assassin tank so we can knock the dailies off within 1-2 hours by stealthing past most if not all of the trash. So that nets around 200k and the max commendations and mission rewards.

The costs for leveling up a craft is greatly mitigated by having a pure gathering character, and also getting at least the crafting alts to 20 for the extra cargo bay and the second crew member.

My method more time intensive than playing the GTN but it is definitely more stable in terms of income gained.

JFC, clearly I'm doing it wrong.

I'm 100 scavenging, 400 slicing, 400 UT.

My method is really good for a stealth lvl 46 and up. When you get to Voss level planets, most nodes produce boxes that have 1k credits. For mid level characters Alderaan is nice as it is one of the early planets that have high concentrations of nodes. I found a nice circuit that netted me 20k for about 20-30min of my time. For scavenging and UT I only really use them for gathering crafting materials or gifts.

As for lvl 46 and up, this gives me the buffer to be close to mobs before agro and to have more affective stealth.

thanks for the info. I'm L26 so I'll wait until I can get to Alderaan.
