Think ill start a commando as my next char. Really wish though that you had an option to still use a rifle as I don't necessarily like the look of the canon.

I completely agree with this. I don't like the 'assault canon'... I really like the assault rifles though. However, due to the damage difference and the fact that many of your skills require the AC makes the choice non existant.

Those of you who are Imperial Agents, what companion are you using most of the time? I find I use Vector...

Operative [healer] - started out with Kaliyo then switched to SCORPIO as she was melee. I would then provide healing/ranged dps/dots as needed.

For boss fights - I'd sometimes switch up to Ensign Raina Temple so I could kite the boss while she provided dps.

Want to play ranged.

Vanguards ARE ranged. Particularly the Assault Specialist spec. Tactics spec is the close combat spec, and Shield spec is the "short/medium" ranged tank spec.

Vanguards are the other side of the Trooper base class. Vanguards use Assault Rifles as their primary weapon. Most everything outside of Tactics is 30m range.

230k * 30 days = ~7m a month

Credits are so easy to get it's ridiculous. What's worse is that the economy (lol) in SWTOR right now is non-existant. You can go to the market kiosk and get just about whatever you want for a song.

Only thing that HAS irritated me is the 3-fold increase in prices for PvP gear. While it's not hard to obtain commendations, it isn't exactly easy to pick up ~4000 commendations ever 10 levels as you level up.

I have a 50 commando and an almost-50 vanguard (yeah, I love the class that much).

If you want ranged DPS and plan to raid/etc, commando is your *best* choice. The VG is not capable of putting out the same DPS as the commando, especially in fights with adds that require AoE. That's when VGs really fall down hard.

Having said that, you'll be able to do normal raids just fine. Hard modes may be still somewhat ok, but your crew will probably be picking you up. IMHO, I don't think any group will want a VG dpser for nightmare mode.

The VG is more optimal in melee range. As a tank, you'll want to be right up close for max efficiency. The "ranged tank" ability is really about 10M out tops, but you lose stock strike for example, which is a staple in your rotation.

But hey, do what I did. Roll two troopers and own the class. I must say I enjoyed the 2nd time through because I went darkside on my VG and didn't have to put up with all the stuff like "yeah, you just tried to kill me and destroy the Republic, but it's cool man."

I was somewhat surprised to check my gold total and see I was closing in on $400k as I approached 40. But then I bought the speeder stuff and blew most of it. They really need to kick up the speed though, for that much $ it is an unnoticeable difference while driving around.

Yep, credits are stupid easy to get. I feel that part of the problem is that all the good stuff is bind on pickup instead of equip and none of the crafted gear can compete with drops. I haven't seen anything for sale over 35k on my server.

Plus the dailies and space battles reward too many creds, hell just PvP for 10 rounds and you'll make a pretty penny.

So how exactly does stealth work in pvp? It can be seen through, is it that you can see through someone lower level? Does distance to the enemy matter?

Really? Wow. We've got slicing 340 missions going for that (and selling). Heck, I've seen lvl 20 epics and orange gear going for that. :)

We also have several gold farming bots in Ilum. I find it funny that anyone would think to buy credits.

I spent a few hundred grand on crafted 48-49 purples once I hit 50 to fill in slots that I wasn't getting PVP gear for, I eventually had to NPC most of it but it lasted me a while. Still using the helm in fact and I just finally replaced the gloves with Columi a day or two ago, plus while PVP gear is quite good the expertise itemization does mean that you can find pieces better suited through crafting / BoE epics in some cases.

I'm sure each server's different but the economy seems fine on ours, a good crafted item (even from the craft trainer patterns) can still be a really solid piece of gear, especially with an augment slot. It does seem like many (all?) of the patterns found in ops/hardmodes are BoP items unfortunately, but I could be mistaken.

I'll have to look up the slicing missions. 340 Investigation missions go for about 5k though =p

Real money is in Treasure Hunting and especially Underworld Trading missions. Everybody fights over those, especially the latter. I never see more than one or two purples of any level of Underworld Trading on the market at any given time.

Yep, I make huge dough from Underworld Trading. I can sell half stacks of blue Titanium for 30K a pop.

What's a half stack? I've been hoarding up UT metals for the past 2 weeks.

Something like 30 or 40 Titaniums for example; they seem to go for around a grand a piece, so 30K for a stack like that. Full stack is 99 I think? It varies of course and I just put them at or slightly below market at the time.

A full stack = 99 items, so a half stack = 50.

Metals sell well on my server too (Bergeren Colony) though I sell in 5 - 10 item lots to help out the lower level crafters who aren't alts of a "rich" level 50.

I mostly do this (metal selling) to get more purples for my own crafting since GTN prices for purple metals are insane.

Thanks for the info^^

I guess I'll keep running rich UT metal missions and not drop UT afterall

want to go home and PvP so bad. Damn real life, damn it to hell!

I finally fell "into the zone" last night where everything felt natural. It's been a long, long time.

I wish our missions were up to 35k each haha, I'd be making even more of a killing than I am already. TH recently jumped up to about 25k but as a result people spiked the supply trying to cash in, I think it'll settle back to 'normal' for about 20k and UT recently jumped to 30-35k but about the same thing happened. Archaeology hovers around 12-18k each, Scavenging 10-17k generally, Bio 6-12k (the 300 skill missions actually sell better), and slicing 15-20k. Diplomacy missions finally have risen over 4320 to 6-8k because of Medical Supplies I think, but investigation is still pretty much worthless in terms of missions on my server.

So I scanned all the mission types yesterday and found the highest priced 340 one was only 8k, and it was the only one left in the listing for slicing. My server is probably the lowest populated one out there o.o

What TH missions give 35k each? mostly I'm doing companion gifts but I haven't seen any yields that high on the others I have done.
