aint it cool news reviews sin city : http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=19700

Great review; although sexual references being said by Harry Knowles isn't the greatest thing ever.

Which is why I said what I said in my response above. Harry really needs to get a hook-up because his reviews are waaaay to centered around sex even the movie has virtually nothing sexual in it. Someone like Freud would have a field day with Knowles' fat ass.

You fall asleep during the sex scene, and during shots of the all the half naked whores?

was I the only person who's weenie hurt at the end of that movie? there were so many instances where a dude either got his balls blown off or ripped clear out and each one of them made me cringe and shed a tear.

were you even paying attention to the movie? There were two painful instances of a man losing his genitals, and it was the same man both times, not to mention he more than deserved it. I probably would have done the same thing, if not worse, to him. It sucks that you actually connected with such a character to share in his pain rather than take satisfaction in the just punishment he recieved.

Definitely thought the movie was awesome. words cannot describe it, i desperately want to see it again so i can piece it all together a second time.
Theather was sold out all night long and we got stuck in the 2nd row, of a stadium seating theater so that wasn't the best but it was still phenominal.

AWESOME MOVIE! I am rarely satisfied when it comes to movies these days but this one is 5/5 and 2 thumbs up! The movie flows so well and is almost EXACTLY like the comics. I stress exactly!

Amazing movie. I have been a fan of the comics for quite some time, and I think a new standard has been set for comic adaptions. The friend I went with has been a Sin City fan for even longer, used to manage a comic and game store, and also thought the movie was amazing.

Great movie! I think one of the reasons the film was so amazing was the fact they actually let Frank Miller be one of the directors. He is an amazing if not a little twisted comic book writer.

The Director's Guild of America has a rule about not giving credit to "co-directors," though I am not sure if this applies if the person is actually a member of the DGA. Robert Rodriguez resigned from the DGA so Frank could get the credit he deserved. I believe Quentin Tarantino did something similar some years ago.

Can you imagine if we were to get Batman movies based off of the Batman work Frank Miller did? :p~

For those who didn't notice... Frank Miller cameo'd the role of the priest in the confession booth.

it was OK. I expected the effects to somewhat different than they were...more immersive I guess. it was still a pretty cool style.

And alba is a pretty terrible actress, but it didn't seem so bad because brittany murphy is much worse. Alba looked ok, but I didn't like her hair. just me I guess.

Wow, what a nutty movie, I can't remember seeing a movie that violent ever!

I went with a group of 8 others and of all of them only myself and my one friend liked it though, all the others said it was just to much, though 5 of them were women.

I'd like to see it again just to be able to let it all sink in more.

Plus all the T&A didn't hurt.

I think the final scene is a precusor to the first. The woman in the first scene is the mother of the daughter I think?. I don't think Nancy's head is on the wall. btw, didn't eljiah look like harry potter haha?

Rosiaro Dawson and Alba could have been replaced with more talented and more sultry vixens. I thought the movie was fantastic but naomi watts, natalie portman or
several other actresses could have filled those roles better.

no other movie made my grab my balls while cringing so many times :Q :Q

all in all, I enjoyed the movie, I loved the style, and Bruce Willis makes for a surprising good and refreshing Film Noir actor.

I enjoyed the movie, it was a bit boring in the middle (after the ugly guy is killed but before bruce willis is back in the story).

good movie, the 3 different vignettes kept me interested, although it was hard to fit the prostitute-laden one in the midst of everything else.

I really didn't know what to expect going into see the movie today, but i was impressed.

I'm not sure how i felt about the style of the movie, but overall, it was incredibly different from anything i've ever seen.

Have to see it again to get how it all fits together.

The entire movie reminded me of the gatorade commercials, especially towards the end of the movie with the farangi. It was good, but not as good as Kill Bill or Kill Bill 2. The style was definitely fresh and innovative.
