- Setting up pricing for the PS6 to look like a "deal"
Fucking President Dotard. His tariffs are the main reason I got my Switch 2 in July, to beat dipshit's August 1st tariffs. I hate whenever I buy something significant I have to think would I have bought this now if anyone else was president?![]()

Nintendo's statement in their August 3rd notice of price increases made it sound like they'll be coming to Switch 2 before too long. I definitely expect it to be $500 by January 1st.Nintendo probally set the S2's price at $450 to account for the tariffs.

It's kind of unprecedented with console prices going up and not down.
Nope. When the $450 price was announced, Nintendo said it was unrelated to the proposed tariffs.
A Japanese tech journalist came to USA & interviewed Chris Hall AMD's software head on ROCm & FSR 4 Firestone
It appears Firestone path tracing software can run on any GPU since it is compiled to shader code using ML2CODE framework

Could also be like what Walmart is doing is spreading around the increased costs to everything they carry so as to not piss Trump off by making the products directly tariffed easy to spot. If Sony/XBox/Nintendo raise everyone's prices it doesn't make Trump look as bad. Plus customers around the world have been conditioned to be ok with price increases when US price goes up since before President Dotard we had the cheapest consumer goods in the world here. Captialists will use any excuse to make us eat price bumps.I don't think people really understand tariffs or how they work. If the price is only going up in the U.S. then it's most likely because of tariffs (currency devaluation being the other likely culprit) but if the higher or increased costs are comparable across several markets then it's unlikely to be related to tariffs as those rates would not have changed for other countries.
The PS5 price changes are just for the U.S. and are likely the result of tariffs. The price increases that Microsoft made earlier this year and the higher price from Nintendo were more universal.

The boss I am at now, The Last Judge, has such a long hike to get to each time you die so I just went back to do some of the side quests instead. I'm playing it on Switch.
I found Sinner's Road but I ended up just beating the Last Judge. She's really not that tough once you figure out her moves and when you can and can't go in and hit her. Once I realized I can't rush it and was taking my time, it became much easier.I am at this point now... and doing side quests instead is what I am doing.
As it turns out though, there's apparently a Secret entrance in Sinner's Road which eventually leads to being able to complete Act 1without needing to defeat Last Judge. We'll see how difficult this path is.
