Kind'a wish I had gotten the PS5 Pro instead of the vanilla version.
Anyway, finally gotten around to playing Lies of P's DLC (Overture), and decided to pick it up for the PS5 because of the sale where both the main game & DLC for $58. It appears the game was enhanced for the Pro and I would have been able to play it on quality settings with at least a 60 FPS throughout. This would have been great!
By the way, the game is fantastic and I couldn't recommend it enough. In my view, it's an amazing effort especially given it's R8's not only first game, but the best Soulslike game of them all.
Just as with SOTE, many have complained of the game's difficulty and it appears the devs may have nerfed some of the game before I had gotten a chance to play it. In its present state, while the game is challenging, it certainly isn't "too" hard, and, in my estimation, probably a little easier than ER's DLC. Avid fans of this genre using their preferred weapon should have little trouble progressing, though, of course, the boss fights are complex, challenging and really fun. The story is just amazing!
The final boss is pretty spectacular and quite a spectacle. It's probably one of the three most challenging bosses (especially Mano on Mano) of any fighting game I've ever played.
PS - The Two Dragon Sword (a katana that parries and heavy attacks simultaneously at the apogee of its twirl) is my favorite weapon of all time in any fighting game. This thing when used correctly makes almost all fights a breeze.
