wth is that unsportsmanlike penalty about? why is officiating and rules making where the nfl struggles?

Launching means you can't use another player to jump higher than usual to block a FG. The official was behind the guy and saw Timmons put 2 hands on the 49er but from the front it didn't look like Timmons got any extra air out of it so the call was a little ticky tack. But yeah, technically you're supposed to just jump and not use your hands except to stick them straight up.

Bad deal but I don't see the Steelers scoring 2 TDs with Ben hurt.

Edit: They just explained the call. It was calling for a running start. Rules says you have to be within 1 yard of the line or else it's a "running start" and I guess Timmons was more than 1 yard away.

Yeah, this D is astounding, but those three teams will shred them.

Although the Pats' D could make Alex Smith look pretty good.

agreed. Though I think the Pats would give them the best game.

not sure how well Brady would do when he's actually forced to move.

Alex Smith is pretty bad, but he's looked serviceable this year.

amazing.

Wait, I thought the Niners were the ones with the leaky O-line and Steelers were the ones with awesome blitz packages...

They did a zoom, and it didn't touch the white.

The Steelers O-line never impressed me much, it ends up relying a lot on Rofflesburger being hard to sack and very mobile. With his injury though, that philosophy isn't working.

I must've missed that zoom, I only saw a couple replays, nothing really decisive.

After Davis didn't get the initial touchdown, I was just hoping they'd play action and still give it to Davis.

Aaaaaand as I type that, Big Ben throws another INT.
