Is TJack hurt? Peter King said Joe Webb (I think?) is starting tonight for the Vikings.

Yeah, TJ is on IR. But Favre just got upgraded from out to questionable. He will throw before the game and make a decision about whether he thinks he can start the game over Webb. Good times.

In other news, I still can't believe the Eagles won that game in regulation with 4 touchdowns in ~8 minutes. That was just crazy.

I wish I could've seen the last part of that game. Instead, I got a good laugh out of seeing Tyjuan Hagler return an onside kick for a TD -- and he was untouched.

I'm concerned with the news that Bill Cowher has put the Giants on the top of the "Teams I want to coach" list.
Should the NYG decide to shit-can Coghlin, Cowher would make an awesome coach...and COULD potentially, turn the Giants into a much better football team.
Fuck...I'd much rather see him go to the San Diego Chargers and replace Norv...

Norv is there to stay. I think they only way they get rid of Norv is for the owner to order AJ Smith to fire him.

I'd still like to a NYG & Pats [Superbowl] rematch too. That'd be interesting.

You do realized that the Giants might not even make the playoffs? THAT happenstance would make me snort and guffaw with glee!

Tom Coughlin may possess a lot of strengths as a coach but he has always looked like one dyspeptic and miserable SOB to me.

Does anyone know if the clock had run out before D. Jackson reached the goalline and, thus, that his extra prancing ran the clock out, or was it already on 0:00?

If the Giants win next week vs Green Bay they are in guaranteed. But after that meltdown yesterday i dont know if i want to see them in. Matt Dodge is bound to blow a playoff game single handedly. Too much bad karma riding on him. Ugh. D:

Vick for MVP.

The clock was at 0:00 when he was prancing. However, I honestly think he was looking around to make sure that the clock had expired before he went in. I don't think it was for showboating etc.

he still lifted the ball in the air when he was still on the 20yd line though.

i dont really mind the showboating though. assholes make for a more intersting league.

That is what it looked like to me, too.

Agreed. But every douche in the league now starts high-stepping and finger pointing as soon as they break free. It's stupid.

or he was looking around sorta rubbing it in. Who knows.

Andy (Reid) said that DeSean did that to run to clock completely out, and that he didn't have a problem with it, but I'm not sure of the facts of the matter either and remain curious about it.

You'd think some enterprising sports media folks would cobble together a real-time split screen to answer this question.

I don't think there's any question to it. The clock hit 0:00 right at about the 5yrd line. After that was either show-boating or him confirming it was 0:00. The former wouldn't surprise me, but would be incredibly stupid. The latter would be fairly intelligent and a smart move.

That being said, I guess I'm going with the former.

I thought I heard on his post-game interview that he did it for showboating reasons. It's his general nature given all of the showboating that he's done in his career, including that falling backwards thing last week.

However, running parallel to the goal line to run out the clock is something you'd do in a video game. It's a completely smart and legal move so you don't have to kick it off and risk losing a game but no one ever does it. I'm fine with people doing it. When you're in the heat of the moment after running 70 yards, I don't think most people know exactly how much time is on the clock, so delaying to confirm the time would be understandable.
