What was the purpose to icing one's own kicker? Garrett should be fired for making such a stupid call.

Garrett needs to GTFO at this point. His play calling is absurd, as he apparently doesn't know how to utilize the talent the Cowboys have. He demonstrated this the year after JJ gave him the big contract as a OC.

The icing the kicker was kind of weird but I think the worse offense was to not call TO with :25 left after the Bryant catch. They could have run 2-3 more plays to get a closer kick with a TO still left. Instead, a 49y FG is always going to be 50-50.

sweep by the NFC east, they all lost!!!

The NFC West has more wins to date than the NFC East. Hell, my Seahawks chipped in beating the Eagles and Giants, the two divisions are paired on the schedule this year, and I am pretty sure the West has more between the two themselves.

Well, like I said in last week's thread that Lions/Pac game changed when Delmas and Houston went out for Det. and now they're out against Brees. Things aren't looking good for the Honolulu Blue.

Cowboys played terribly today, it should have been much worse, but Arizona is also pretty bad.

This has to do with the Denver Minnesota game. Near the end of the game with 1:13 left on the clock. No time outs. Opponent is 1st and Goal on the 5 yard line. Do you let them score a TD unopposed and hope to get a tying TD with 60 odd seconds left? You have no time outs, they run two or three downs and you're out of time with no chance of answering. Seems like a TD and hope for an answering TD was the best bet.

That's what I was thinking. In that case it would have been better to just left them score right away, since them scoring was inevitable.

if you do not have manning, brady, or rodgers, you hope your D can make that stop.

My games today went quite a bit differently than I had expected. The Steelers managed to soundly whip the Bengals, and the Packers just barely managed to beat the Giants. I had expected just the opposite. I thought for sure that the Squeakers would barely beat the Bengals and the Pack would trounce the Giants.

Still, each game brings another to the "WIN" column for my teams.

Well, you hope for a fumble. No way in hell Denver was going to pass. Two or three runs, kick a FG which is like a 20-23 yarder with no time left. Game over. Figure letting them get a TD and hope for a miracle answering TD was better than hoping for a miracle fumble or a miracle miss FG.

Last NO Saints TD was sick. Did anyone let the Detriot Lions know they are playing in a game tonight?

LOL @ the Madonna Halftime Announcement. WTF? Has she done anything in the last fucking decade that would even warrant having her perform?

Are they intentionally TRYING to get viewship on other networks during halftime?

/crosses fingers for the return of the butt-bowl

Lol Pettigrew pushing a player after the play and then shoving an official. Surprised he wasn't ejected.
