Ya that was, his arm went instantly stiff too... Poor guy. Atleast the other knew he was out and didn't follow up with any unneed GnP.

Youtube of the hit as well - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYyql_CbjxI

Did he come back in the game? Was so amped couldn't keep track of who came back after going out.

I like both teams, happy to see SF going on, would have been happy either way.

That hit was insane, aside from the obvious huge entertainment value, it makes me shudder. I know it was clean, legal, and probably not intentional (to that degree), but it's kind of sad to think that that kind of impact is getting to the realm where people can suffer permanent brain damage. Research has shown that even a handful of regular concussions can cause irreperable harm to brain function which typically begins to exhibit symptoms later in life. Take too many of those kinds of actual KO blasts and you end up punch drunk and a borderline vegetable for the rest of your (shortened) days.

Told ya Tebow is going to screw up next game

Tebow?, the entire Denver defense had no answer for Brady and the Pats O, the offense Denver runs is not designed to come back from a huge deficit. Going forward though, I don't think the option will be a viable format and Denver will have to invest time into making Tebow a pocket passer, even if the option was a system that was viable the pounding the QB takes would make his tenure a very short one, linebackers are just to big, fast and hit to hard to survive even a full season running the option..

Tebow looks for the pass early. If theres no open he doesn't take it. But they really got pounded. Not many teams that can keep up with NE playing like that. They gave of NE orgasms probably before the game ended

"Gave of NE orgasms"?, a QB isn't supposed to force a ball into coverage which TT didn't to his credit. I like TT though, the media hype was created by the well, media and he finds time to spend with those who find themselves in challenging situations instead of making headlines by driving drunk or caring guns ect..

That would be the Cowboys lol
Yeah he's something different. A quarterback that can run and take a hit or a RB that can throw which ever way one prefer.

the 49ers advance.Maybe next week they wont get 3 fumbles and two interceptions and a zombie ref crew that allows helmet to helmet contact, roughing the passer, unsportsman like conduct, ect. And get spotted 17 points,a lead that they almost blew.

I was surprised a flag didn't get thrown there, leading with the helmet. Seems like the Ref's in general have a more "let 'em play" attitude in the playoff's but it sure seemed he led with the crown of the helmet, in any event it should be a great NFC championship game..

Haha what a bunch of sour grapes. Yeah lets go back to bitch football that these overrated dome teams play.

Just FYI:

It was probably legal (helmet-to-helmet hits are only penalties if the receiver is "defenseless"), but it was still brutal.

LEGAL HIT - Whitner's tackle of Thomas triggered a flurry of speculation among Saints fans that it should have drawn a flag for head-to-head contact. However, because Thomas had already taken possession of the ball and was running toward the goal line he is not classified as a "defenseless receiver."

It was legal, and I think it was the single biggest difference between the Saints blowing out the niners and the game we saw. It took away what was almost certainly going to be a saints touchdown within the next down or two, and it set the tone for the first half. Not to mention taking away Pierre Thomas. He seemed to be running fairly well during that first drive and the Saints had no significant running game after he left.

The Pats just stomped the crap out of them a few weeks ago in Denver. Put up 41 points on their defense, in Denver.

NE's defense gives up a lot of yards (less than GB, and barely more than NO), but they rank somewhere in the low teens for points, and are #2 in interceptions. They are not as bad as everyone makes them out to be, based on ONE stat. Granted, not the greatest defense, but not as bad as everyone keeps saying. Besides, GB has the worst based on yards, and they are gonna be hella tough to beat this year.

If Tebow can win at Foxboro, I will become his biggest fan. I just don't see how they can win though.

Well, looks like I won't be a Tebow fan anytime soon. Unless there is some sort of dramatic change in his playing style, he will never be a viable nfl quarterback. Denver SHOULD have been a playoff team. If they had a decent quarterback, they could be a real contender.

NE's defense sure didn't look like the worst defense in the history of the nfl last night. ROTFLMAO. Since when is a a game won by yards, not points anyway?!?!?!? (besides, they aren't even the worst team in yards given up THIS YEAR, let alone, the history of the NFL)

nope he was out for the rest of the game after that.

Yeah. I knew when I saw the hit that he would be out for the rest of the game (at the very least). Going stiff like that = knocked out/concussion. Very unfortunate for him and for the Saints. He was huge last week against Detroit, constantly breaking tackles and picking up lots of extra yards after contact. Hopefully he'll be okay.

For what it's worth, I don't think it was a dirty hit, just an unlucky one. PT was no longer 'defenseless' after he turned and started moving with the ball.
