In regards to the camping issue that many people have brought up. Is it mostly in team deathmatch games? I play a lot of domination and that game type requires a certain amount of camping or guarding so that you can control points. But even with that it doesn't seem that people are staying in one place all game.

Also I kinda of like the slower creeping around the map. It reminds me a lot of intense CS matches I used to play where people would move inch by inch towards the objective listening for a door to open etc to know where people were

I've played only TDM so far and from personal experience, haven't experienced any real all out camping games at all. Some games there might be someone who stayed in one spot forever but for the most part, the game is constantly in motion where we switch sides on the maps more than once. In some games, people more more cautiously than usual but no out-right camping.

I wish they would release some tight, small maps. I am starting to dislike most of the maps. I don't mind the overall campy feel of the game as much when playing 3rd person because the 4v4 makes it easier to "know" where the enemies are. Not as big of a chance of some random sitting in the middle of nowhere. I would love some really good, squad based objective maps. No real sniping across the map type stuff. Lots of entrance, exit, watch your teammates back, he watches yours type stuff.

See, this is where CoD 4 excelled. Maps like Crossfire/Crash you could snipe OR you could do CQB and both tactics work extremely well. There's nothing in MW2 like that.

Can anyone explain how a Javelin works? I've never used it. In the videos, people just point straight ahead and then a symbol (of a car?) shows up on the left of the display, then 3 green lights shine then a rocket comes out. What's going on?

You pull it out then aim through the viewfinder. The view will then show a vertical and horizontal line meeting at your target and it will beep and the lil icon on the left lights up meaning you are locked on. Then you fire it. It will tell you if the target is too close etc.

Terminal, Wasteland, Sub Base, Skidrow (best Domination map I've played) and Highrise are probably my favorites.

I don't mind Scrapyard, Karachi, Afghan, Favela, and Derail (my only stealth map).

I hate Underpass, Quarry, Estate, and Invasion. Not a big fan of Rundown but it's not as bad.

I still haven't played Rust

I only really encounter Rust in FFA. It's pretty chaotic, but fun. People usually don't like the map because it's small and people spawn right behind you all the time.

If you've ever played shipment in COD4, rust is pretty similar, with an addition of a vertical portion.

What is considered a target? It can't lock on to people right? So what? A flagpole?

You can't lock onto people. You can lock onto points on the ground or vehicles. If you're good you can use it like a Predator, it's got a pretty vicious blast radius.

Typically I greatly prefer the Stinger since I get distracted aiming the Javelin (takes too long).

Agreed on the Javelin taking too long. Certain maps it works well with. Some of the more congested maps its not worth it. I prefer the stinger all around.

Do you also use the stinger as a ground weapon or only for air?

Stinger is air only.

I prefer the javelin over any of the other launchers. I can use it to take down air support, and I usually get at least 2-3 kills/round with it. Plus I love the way it looks/sounds 😛

Oh that is good info. I thought you could lock onto people. I've killed myself a couple times by locking onto what I thought was a distant enemy, firing, and running forward and having the javelin land on me 🙁

Sorry Jules, but there's like 2 total PS3 guys on the list in the OP. I'll add you as well.

Another problem with the Javelin is that if there's anything even remotely in the way of your shot the thing WILL blow up on you.

I played a game on Terminal last night where the entire other team was using the Javelin glitch. We won by 1 kill but it was frusterating. I swear I shot a guy 50+ feet away and through a barrier and he blew me up (I was behind the short wall right above the escalators, he was standing next to the cross shaped garden thing halfway between said wall and the food court).

My kill ratio dropped from 1.81 to 1.77 yesterday thanks to lots of people using Javelin glitches and dual rangers/1887's. They need to fix this NOW!

People who use the Javelin glitch have the intelligence of the guy on the right.

Yeah so last night I played against someone who hid inside a rock in Afghan for the entire round... he could shoot us but we couldn't shoot him.

Oh and domination is basically a joke now with the javelin glitch

i played last night for the first time in a week or so, and didnt play 1 TDM match, strictly domination, and had a lot more fun.

i think TDM is now retired from my list to actually play. people don't sit around and camp in domination and you always have to be on the move or the lookout, making it a lot more fun in my eyes.

i saw like 5 or 6 people doing the javelin glitch last night and reported them all.

I need to report alot more people for the Javelin glitch last night but I was so frusterated I just turned the 360 off. They're still on my recent player's list though.

They need to use the banhammer more liberally, start putting fear into the kiddies who like to abuse bugs and exploits.

They never used the banhammer for people who hid in the trench on Overgrown on CoD 4 and that was just as bad. He can shoot you, you can't shoot him.

They don't ban people for using glitches in games. I have never heard of anyone being banned for getting under the maps in W@W. They only use the ban hammer for network manipulation and exploitation on the hardware side.
