Way to fail, again.

I wanna see you run around with a 25 pound machine gun+15 pounds of ammo+10 pounds of gear and move around like you're carrying a pen.

yea, and while i'm at it, i'll take dozens of bullets to the body and heal within 5 seconds.

'heaviness' in FPS games is when you are holding a rocket launcher and you can't run and aim slow ... not taking a 1/4 second to start moving something. you are just too stubborn or stupid or a combination of both to understand this. you seem to the the only person on this board who can't understand this concept.

The simple fact of the matter is that when KZ2 released, there was very noticeable input lag. When everybody started complaining and detailed analysis was being made of the lag that was there, the developer tried to say it was intentional, but most everybody could see it was a bullshit excuse. It was made even more apparent when they tried to stealth patch the latency issue about a month after launch.

It was broken, 100%. You can say it provides weight, etc, but you're wrong and blinded by your fanboyism. NOBODY purposefully codes input lag into a game.

detailed analysis?. damn, don't you kids these days have any fun just playing games for fun?
Why so serious?:\

cause it was a terrible and stupid design decision that was game-breaking for some people.

the controls in the demo of kz2 last year saved me $60, i had it preordered and cancelled it after the demo came out.

yea i know they fixed it in a patch but by that point i was onto other games and didn't care about kz2.

It's a combination of things with KZ3. The intentionally weighty controls combined with the input lag, plus, frankly, people just bitch more about PS3 games. Halo, BioShock, and L4D all have input lag comparable to KZ, but little to no one complains about them. It's been this way this entire generation.

The pre-patched input lag with KZ2 was definitely NOT comparable with other shooters on the market. However, the KZ3 demo feels pretty good.

Sadly, 360 lovers are blinded by their fanboism to ignore the flaws within their own system and games. They just blatantly flame anything on PS3.

It definitely wasn't me who was breaking down video to see how much lag was there, but it was done by many people.

i'm just glad i can play games and have fun, those people can do whatever but won't change anything other than ruin their own enjoyment. its like pointing out flaws in movie, why bother watching it.

You're the same way with the PS3.

Not really lol, i think the hardware is pathetic, but i've played many of games and i've owned 2 360s in less than 2 months, both which got RRoD...etc, etc. PS3 flawless for 5 years, who's to blame?

I usually get this kinda info from eurogamer's digital foundry. They always go deep on the tech side of console games, and their face-offs are particularly useful when deciding which version of a game to get.

I'm glad that you're glad with yourself and all, but we're on a tech site loaded with benchmarks. It shouldn't surprise anyone that some people are interested in the technical side.

There's your first problem. We're talking about software here, not the hardware. Anytime you post about how the PS3 is superior to the 360, it's always the same line about how you had two 360's RROD. Never anything about the games.

On an unrelated and topic-worthy note, I love the KZ3 demo and am thinking about putting down my pre-order for it before the night is out. From a completely non-biased perspective, it really is a solid shooter. Being able to play it in 3D mode with Move is a huge plus for me as well, since I think it looks great (the demo was way better than the beta in regards to the 3D effect).

Huh? I don't understand the response to what I said, but whatever, lets just say you win so you'll hush and we can get back to KZ3 talk.

I did end up pre-ordering KZ3 from Amazon simply because of the demo. I'm really looking forward to playing it. I doubt I'll put much if any time into the multiplayer, I was mainly sold on the great 3D mode and Move support.

You basically have to forgive and ignore ravenseal. He has a simplistic mind because he is a child.

He doesn't understand the difference between input lag and weight. One which was fine and one which wasn't.

He doesn't understand there are many people who like the PS3 but hated KZ2. My favorite console games this gen are PS3 exclusive.

He's a kid though so I can't really blame his simple minded thought processes. Everything to him comes down to PS3 vs 360.

He's a teenager. I dont remember being that much of an idiot when I was one.

If anything he should be banned from this thread because he's too young to buy the game. It might warp his fragile little mind. Shame on his parents for letting him play such violent games.

ZOMFG HE'S A CHILD!!!!!

You and BD need to go get a life.

Where are you getting this crap of having a PS3=Liking KZ?

Is there input lag in the game? Yes, but people go and blow it out of proportion. 90% of the "lag input" has to do with the fact that the guns have WEIGHT!(ZOMG! GUNS ARE MADE OF MATTER!!! CAN YOU BELEIVE THAT?!?!?!??!). Don't give me all this crap. Just because you people are used to flying around in call of duty like you're carrying paper and pencil doesn't mean KZ2 is a complete piece of crap flooded with input lag. And if you have a problem with the way the game plays, then just don't f'ing play it! As simple as that! Don't go spend $60 on it! I will gladly play it while you go enjoy black ops for the 2 months, until Activision decides they can't feed their money pig, so they have to release a new game with a montly subscriptions so people like you and BD can go pay for it!

BTW, if am i damn child with a small mind, you need to contact Best Buy, the US Air Force and the DMV because i got a job, drive an S2000 and i'm going to the air force academy! last time i checked! You needed to be 18+ to do that ****.

After sitting for 2-3 hours yesterday reading way too much about the Killzone universe on the Wikia, I'm pretty stoked to get ahold of this. I'll probably play through KZ2 again too, since it's been awhile. Also, if they have the Move Sharpshooter in stock, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to NOT get one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_G8xfJGVVVM

those games do not have input lag anywhere comparable to KZ. You're a moron for even stating it.

KZ2's input lag was frequently measured at 150ms (at minimum) or more, which means it doesn't match anything on that list other than GTA4 (which was equally as sluggish but not as noticeable due to the nature of the gameplay). Maybe you think the difference between 100ms and 150ms+ is negligible, but it's not, especially for twitch shooters.

The simple fact of the matter is that when the KZ2 demo came out, MANY people felt something was off with the controls. It's not like the entire online gaming community banded together and said that KZ2 was going to be the first time a game was taken to task over input lag. It was there and it was worse than any other FPS on the market.

One, we're technically talking KZ3 here and people are STILL complaining about the game. Two, if you read the article you'll see that, for example, Halo 3 comes in around 150ms while doing any jumping... which is what people spend A LOT of time doing in MP. Yet you simply never see the complaints like you do with the Killzone games. Killzone 3's input lag IS right in the same range as these games I listed, but it's a given we'll see the same complaints. It's already happening.

Killzone not only suffers from lag, but from a bizarre acceleration curve. A tap does almost nothing, a slightly longer tap goes too far. Coupled with the excessive lag, it more harder to target than it needs to be.

KZ3 is much better. But it's not as good as it could or should be. You can call it weight, you can call it whatever you want, but it's not a positive thing. The controls detract from the game. The lag makes it worse.
