Aiming is much easier with the Move. I still need to get used to turning and thus am not too great in tight corridors, but otherwise I feel Move is much better.

Put about an hour into the campaign after work. I have to say that the game is gorgeous and plays really, really well. The cinematography in the cut-scenes leave a bit to be desired thus far, but the action during actual gameplay is top-notch and easily some of the best I've seen.

I've played thus far in 3D mode, but my TV produces way too much ghosting. I'm torn between turning it completely off or just suffering through it, since most of the ghosting I only tend to see during cut-scenes, since I'm too busy shooting bad guys during gameplay (it's still there, though).

Im not sure exactly what it is about this game, but the 3D has so much ghosting/crosstalk, more than anything else I've ever seen. I think its a combination of high contrast and high depth of 3D effect, which really pulls the two images apart. I found I had to lower the depth to 40% or else it was just too distracting, but even then it was still really bad, particularly in cutscenes as you say. The cabinet meetings were the worst by far.

If I were to do it over again, I'd do it in 2D. 3D is great when it works well, but this isnt the best example.

I tried putting the depth down to 50%, but almost all of the effect was completely lost to me at that point and there was still ghosting. It seemed the lowest I was comfortable going was about 75-80%. The level in the demo looked fantastic though, I guess it was just the color palette used there.

Yea. A couple of people have been complaning on the guerilla forums, so they might fix it soon. Guerilla usually gives good support for their games at release.

3d problems are not always source issues, some displays just cant refresh fast enough, especially in high contrast scenes to avoid the cross talk...

LCDs being the worst of the 3 major display types.

I tried the demo and literally lol'd at the cheesy scene where the two guys are seriously just casually sitting on top of this flying thing, legs hanging off the side

This game is so fun with the Move. I'm still trying to get turning down to a science which is tough with Move, but the aiming is so smooth. You see someone on your screen, you point and shoot. It's quite different to the gamepad philosophy of having to center the target in the screen. That style works fine for mice because of superior control, but gamepads were never that good. Move finally gives console FPS the ability to aim.

I got the move and the sharpshooter gun to play with killzone 3. I've played some of the campaign and some battle bots fake multiplayer (whatever they call it). The gun thing is really sweet (having a 100" screen with projector makes it super immersive as well).

I have a question though...i'm a total noob with Killzone, and i see some of the bad guys go invisible or pretend to be on your team or make turrets and what not. How do i do that? IS there a button to press or something? I have no idea how to activate my "ability" or whatever they are called.

When i play as a medic, i see that i can revive myself if i'm shot down, but thats about it.

Different classes have different abilities. I forget the names of them, since some have been changed. Basically, each class has a specific ability (or a couple abilities) mapped to one of the directional buttons. You press the corresponding button, and that's all.

Ah, so its mapped to a D pad button? Where do i find the controls? I didn't see it in the owners manual, but perhaps i'm just an idiot. Very possible.

Each class has one or two actions mapped to the D-Pad (one usually has to be unlocked). You'll see them on the bottom left of the HUD when you're playing.

Infiltrator can pretend to be an enemy, and the Marksman can cloak. Infiltrator is annoying because you have to aim at every slightly suspicious teammate. If the aimer shows as red they are an enemy.

I was so confused for a while about those guys. I thought that all games had friendly fire, but i couldn't figure out why so many bots were shooting at me.

I finally figured it out, but i still couldn't figure out how to activate my abilities. I'll check the HUD.

Wow, finished the campaign in under 4 hours (according to completion times on the chapter select screen). I enjoyed it but it went by pretty fast. There are some great moments, especially towards the end, but I found a few of the guided turret sections to be a bit annoying.

Are you serious? Well the game just moved into "definitely do not buy" territory for me.

Yeah, it is damn short. Finished it in one sitting, although I don't think that number includes cutscenes. Prob took me about 6 hours start to finish. Really only one truly memorable setpiece (the MAWLR).

Yeah I don't think my 3.9 hours includes cut scenes (as there are a fair amount of those and the game was definitely not 2 hours long). My playtime was spread over 3-4 sittings. I already jumped right back in on Elite difficulty.

I've also been enjoying the multiplayer although the bug with it always selecting the same map (Retro DLC) for Warzone is irritating. Also sometimes I have a lot of trouble connecting to a match--it stays on the Connecting... screen indefinitely.

Still countless hours of multiplayer to be had.

That's all well and good, but a game needs to be complete for me to buy it (generally). A game made and sold on it's multiplayer aspect with a tacked on single player campaign has no place in my library. It's sort of the same reason I didn't and won't buy any of the Little Big Planet games. They spend too much time promoting the player made content, which I absolutely do not care about. When I buy a game it needs to be able stand on its own without an internet connection. If multiplayer is the focus then that's fine of course, but don't tack on a short, shitty campaign so you can pretend it's a complete package and market it to single player gamers.

I get the multiplayer itch every once in a while, though. The last time it happened MW2 was the game to play, so I nabbed it and had fun, but didn't even play it enough to prestige even once. I enjoyed the demo for KZ3 well enough and had considered getting it, but I won't now.

Yea, that was probably on easy mode...

I do not know Nilla so I can't comment, but I generally go through games on the absolute hardest difficulty level because I find myself having more fun that way, and it never adds more than an hour max to the gameplay time.
