There isn't one and it'll probably never be addressed. Once you play the game through and get a little bit of gold you can afford to grab a level 63 weapon with reduced level requirements. You can easily be around 18,000+ dps by level 42.

I think at level 42 18k dps would make the game too easy? I'm lvl 40 and do only 700 dps. I made the mistake of gearing up with the AH at level 32 and found it impossible to die and mowing down everything with no effort, kinda boring.

It does and that's why I didn't suggest you search the AH for reduced level requirement weapons on your first character. However, when most people start leveling their second class they would rather speed up the process and this helps immensely. If you want the game to be challenging then I suggest you only use the AH when you have to.

So I can always increase life steal by increasing my damage, is that stat only available on weapons? I've not seen it anywhere else. How do you know which runes/attacks give you the highest percentage?

There's a spirit barrage rune that gives you 3.0 ls.

As for loh, acid rain and rain of toads procs a ton of loh.

My WD build uses rain of toads for loh, and the ls on my weapons is needed for when I spam bears on reflects mobs. However, bears do so much damage, I often have to alternate between toads for health return and bears for damage still... even with the ls.

Not gonna lie, WD sounds pretty fun from this post...

It really is...I just got to gear mine up (got an Immortal Kings item that sold for 50m) so I am around 94k DPS with my follower now. I have about 150hrs on that character and it's by far my favorite.

I've never farmed for keys or ubers so if anyone wants to give that a shot let me know and I'd be happy to tag along.

Nice ill try that, I use spirit walk for reflect mobs as u take no damage when attacking while its on. Provided u have enough attack speed u can unload your bears in under 3 seconds and with corps spiders regen your mana before the 15 second cool down is up. 25% movement speed is a must though.

Thus far, I have a level 44 DH and my wife is running a lvl 35ish Wiz. Should I be putting things in the AH to make money or is there really no point at these levels?

Actually, you can make a decent amount for a person with no level 60 character. Enough to make your progression to 60 a little easier. It just depends on the quality of stuff though.

What sells best? DPS type gear? Dex for DH, Int for Wiz, Str for Barb, etc? Most of the stuff I find and craft tends to be Str gear for some reason. Thanks for the info though.

Low level gear can sell for a lot of gold on the AH.

My 2nd char was a Barb and I had lots of gold at that point so while I was leveling up, I bought a lot of gear along the way from the AH. I had to pay in the hundreds of thousands sometimes for good level 35-40 gear.

If you find gear with good stats on it, you should throw it on the AH. Gear that has a main stat, vit, OS, crit, etc will sell on the AH.

I'm a bit late to the D3 party, but what are people running with on stats as a monk? Mine's at 1.8k Dex, 32k Health, 200 Resist, and it's showing 54k DPS on the Character sheet.

Sold off all my gold, all 50 million, last night -- again. Price is $0.33/million. Damn, I miss $0.25 for 100k days. Too bad I sucked at gold farming then.

Did you send that money to your battle.net account or paypal?

If to paypal, how much actual $ do you get after all the fees?

50 * .33 * .85 - 1 = ~13.03

I think, I forget if selling gold incurs a static fee or a percentage.

Gold is 15% Blizzard commission/fee and 15% Paypal fee. It's calculated, IIRC, as:

[(<Price> * 0.85)*0.85]

Copy and paste from my confirmation email:

Item name 45,000,000 Gold
Time of transaction 10 Dec 2012
Sale price $14.85
Transaction fee $2.23
Transfer fee $1.89
Applicable taxes $0.00
Your proceeds $10.73

Great way to make a living...

Gems aren't money sinks in d3. They never get destroyed and you can sell them for what they cost to make OR more. Torchlight 2 implementation is more of a true sink since you can only have the gem or the item back but not both. Assuming most items come from the AH you then lose an investment. This assume a normal gem market and not one that is being lowered by dupes.

Crafting was a decent sink until they made it worthless. Two easy things they could have done was allow level 61+ plans to roll level 63 affixs. The plan level should just determine how many you get. The other reducing the cost of crafting slightly.

Same here, and if you use Grave injustice, get those mobs into a pack of white mobs and you can keep spamming spirit walk. Also with pickup rad. and gruesome feast, you'll get mana restored from health globes to keep spamming bears while in spirit walk.

When it comes to Mass destruction, nothing beats the WD.

I'm waiting for the holiday season to roll around. I have a feeling gold prices will spike again when people are off and have time to play and such... I could be wrong though.

WD is lots of fun to play with a lot of different build variation. In each pub lobby, I find WD's doing different things all the time.

There's a sacrifice build if you can find or buy one of the mojo's with reduced zombie dog cooldown. I saw someone running it, was pretty cool. Run into a pack of Elites, summon zombies, blow them up on them, rinse and repeat. All you see is explosions for a few seconds, and Elites disappear.
