In 1.05 your followers do not add over the 300%.

Patch note detailing that change:

Magic Find and Gold Find values inherited from Followers should now respect the 300% cap

So it's:

300%(you + follower) + 75% NV Stack + X% from Monster Power(10% per level)

Max Magic Find is currently 475%

even better, it's 25% per MP level

Apparently I was looking at the normal/nightmare/hell chart not the inferno chart

So max magic find is 625% in inferno

Bonus item means the keys and organs, right?

Shit. I thought it was 10% per MP level. No wonder the almost never drop below MP3 and still rarely drop below MP5.

The Bonus item % DOES NOT refer to keys/organs. It just means a bonus magic/rare item (maybe even legendary, but not keys/organs) can drop in addition to the loot the mobs normally drop.

Keys/Organs are still 10% per MP level with MP10 = 100% key/organ drop.

Bonus item is listed below:

In Inferno, in addition to increased experience, Magic Find, and Gold Find, whenever a monster dies and drops an item normally (whether it be gold, a potion, or a piece of gear), the monster also has a chance to drop an additional bonus item.

PowerYogo said:
25% per MP level means 550 before MP, 625 max MF with MP10, and another 25% from shrine?

Shrine should stack so you should be correct at 650% with an active shrine.

no there's a slot for "bonus" item, I don't think organs/keys occupy that slot. I believe organs/keys occupy an additional slot that's controlled by MP levels...

For example, an elite pack can drop 3 items normally. If you have 5 stacks, it can drop 4 items with the last item being a guaranteed rare.

If you're on inferno and have 5 stacks, the keywarden has a similar item slot that gets activated with drop rate based on mp level.

That's based on evidence i've seen anyway, since if you kill keywardens on hell with 5 stack they still drop a yellow.

The MF cap is 300, which includes your paragon level, magic find on gear, shrine and follower. The only things that stack are the valor buff and mp level.

Okay, forgot they "fixed" it with the newest patch. Well, that's good then. Won't have to try to get stupid, crazy high gf/mf.

How does anyone still play this game? I mean in all honesty it was fun at first, but its a completely and absolute chore to play now. Nothing new, nothing fun, same old crap, which doesn't even hold the same value as diablo 2 did. I've made a few thousand from the game, so by no means am I complaining, but its done for me. Selling all my gear on the RMAH now and will say goodbye to my naked WD forever.

Hoping they announce an upcoming patch soon that will rekindle my interest in D3.

Was thinking like another level of ultra rare items that are unsellable and bound to your account...something along those lines. Better rares (yellows) would be nice, I found about 10 nice yellows (selling for 3m gold or higher) in like 400 hours of playtime. That's a lot of crappy rares to sort through for a few nice items. I dunno, need some new stuffs to keep me playing :( Until then will just play other games I suppose. I guess it's not that strange to play a game for 300+ hours and then get bored of it for a while.

If I made a few grand playing a video game I would continue to play it and play it :D - But if it's a big chore for you then I suppose it's not worth it. How the hell did you make "a few grand" off D3 anyways? That's a lot of dough. Not exaggerated at all I'm sure.

Sounds just like D2, so everyone should love it forever!

It's a loot game. Either you enjoy farming (playing the loot lottery) or you don't. D2 was the same way.

I personally do not, I beat D2 and played through it until I had some neat items and lost interest. I played D3 until I could beat Inferno ("old" inferno), had some neat items and lost interest. But to pretend anything in D2 was ultimately that different is just nostalgia talking.

It's exactly the same thing D2 was, farm+gear up, with pvp coming in a future patch. You're probably blind in one eye if you think d3 is worse.

It is the same as D2 in one way but in another way, it is vastly different.

Uniques / Sets were useable from early levels on and dropped more frequently. They did not generally roll random awful stats.
You had keys for Ubers, but did not need five stacks to do it. This adds a good amount of time. You need five stacks for Ubers organ drops also.
Runeword items.
Charms
Jewels
Cow runs >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> worst game you can think of >>>>>>>>>>>>> Pony level
Nerfing drops from breakables was not a good decision
Bosses should drop better loot
Town portal cast time is a joke
Potion cooldown of 30 seconds is awful
Cain is dead, no identify all
The amount of need for all resists is awful

I could go on but this game lacks compared to D2. It is a fun game but nowhere close to as good as D2 to me.

The endgame for D3 was fine before the Ubers were put in. Diablo endgame is all about grinding gear. I you don't like grinding gear, you chose the wrong game entirely.

I agree on some of them, especially the uniques and set items. Why the hell wouldn't they just make some of the stats non-rollable on the items is beyond me... yes I really need thorns/potions on every piece of equipment...

But most of that was added in the expansion. I do miss identify all though. (do we REALLY need cain to do it?....) I'll reserve my feelings overall until D3 has had enough time to mature, like D2 did, the game hasn't even been out for a year yet. At the same given point in time for the game's lifespan, D3 is vastly superior to D2 at launch in every way possible though.

Pony level is more of a joke on all the people who were bitching about the game being too colorful when beta screenshots were released. It's not the equivalent of the cow level at all.

Well karma is a bitch....While I was in a rush to sell my items really quickly, I put my cindercoat up for 2 dollars. Problem is, I completely forgot I had 2 Radiant Star Topaz's in it. It sold instantly....I just lost out on 34mil, oh well some ones happy.

don't think radiant stars are worth 17m each >_> but i don't follow them too closely. Last I checked the best of the best gems were like 6m.

I never understood why we can't make games using Monster Power open to the public. So I'm forever limited to playing with people already on my friends list if I want to play at any monster power level? I can't meet new diablo buddies that way :(

Blizzard banned the people who were duping them or stopped the exploiting to get free gems. They are back up to around the price it costs to craft them (16mil).

Not sure it's a straight up ban. Could be just the dupers playing the market by letting gems go back up in price.

Last week gems dropped down to about 8-10m before jumping back to 15, so the duping is still definitely there.

Haven't ID'd it yet.

edit: ended up being a tal rasha's helmet. 97 int. I think it's worth about 8000 gold.

Just gonna fiery brimstone it.

I get that all the time, but I used to play Wow in 2008/2009.

If Blizzard is trying to peddle their own products to you, I wouldn't worry too much.

Edit: Oh... I didn't notice that I got a "free" package of WoW games in that email. "Free" thanks to $15/month subscription fee.
