Also, the graphics for the MP part of the game aren't as detailed as the SP portion. I guess it was done for faster load times, but it's not as nice looking as the SP game. I've never played a CoD game before, but I don't really care for the Perks. They should offer more Perks than just 2 or three per class. I dislike starting off with weak weapons with no upgrades available. I don't want to play the game every day for 4 hours a day in order to unlock better weapons and gear.
It is a "run and gun" game if that's what you make of it. The "deathmatch" types are the traditional "Halo-esque" while others have a more team-oriented feeling. Some of the maps are certainly small but others are quite large (mostly the "outdoors in the city" maps). Easily big enough to run around the level and flank the other team without being seen...
Perks add a new level of creativity to the game. In Halo everyone is the same, in this game 5 people might have the same weapon but all will act differently. One does more damage, one reloads faster, one's bullets penetrate further. Sure people dropping grenades can get annoying (although I probably only get killed by 'em 5-8% of the time), but it's a new twist to an old style of game.
As for starting off with "weak weapons..." the M16 is one of the best weapons in the game. Get 25 kills with it and put a dot sight on it and it's a beast. And just so ya know everyone started out with the same weapons and upgrades. I've only been playing for somewhere around 7 1/2 hours and I'm already lvl 27, so it doesn't take terribly long.

I'm disappointed in the MP. The graphics aren't as nice and most of the maps are small and incredibly fast paced. There isn't much time to prepare a defensive plan. It's just run and gun. Boring!
As for a "defensive plan" I'll also disagree. Played against a team on the map with the shot down helicopter, they had the tall building completely covered and we could NOT get in to get 'em. Once again, the game is what you make of it. If you're a run and gunner then you can play and do well that way, if you're a slow and careful sniper/sneaker then you can also do well that way. Graphics aren't as nice on MP as they are in SP for Halo 3 either...alot more going on on-screen.
As for the laggy "I shot him 5 times and he hit me once and I died" issues it's happened to me 3 or 4 times but it's nowhere near bad enough to make me wanna quit.
