well, it was HIGHLY anticipated but perhaps just a bit too much. I am one of those who are kinda upset how Studio DEEN didnt come through.
BigJ, I personally thought tsukihime had some of its own strong points, so try not to write it off; however, the series received almost nothing but rants and complaints as it didnt do the justice to the original game, quite contrasting from AIR. Lets hope Fate/stay night doesnt follow in its trail, but I am already losing faith :|

I am having more fun watching Magikano and Rakugo Tennyo Oyui. Also, a friendly reminder to school rumble fans : the OVAs (2 eps) have been out for a while, go watch them now if you havnt already.

I guess it's both a blessing and a curse that I've never played the games then. I loved Tsukihime.

just finished it, it was an unexpected twist to get to the expected ending! i'm so glad that i can continue with the rest of the story in manga. (luckily some chinese group is translating it)

this is by far, one of my top favorite.

 for the infamous "3 second Nero", the guy who is suposed to take up like 2 volumes in the manga version of Tsukihime. I will leave it up to you to find out why Shinketsutan Tsukihime wasnt well accepted among the Tsukihime fandom if you are curious :) An alright anime with excellent OST and decent drawing, but confusing and unorthodox plot and cheesy action scenes. Did I say a weak plot? If you thought that was good, I suggest reading a summary of the game's plot :) Most gamers didnt dig the character design at all either, but I guess its a non-issue for those who had know idea about what the characters looked like to begin with.

I been enjoying Canvas2 quite a lot as of late. Not really a top tier, but no glaring issues and quite moody at times.

Among the new shows, I liked the following judging by the first episodes :
Magikano
Rakugo Tennyo Oyui
Kage kara Mamoru
Fate/Stay Night (still alright, not all that shabby)

didnt really care for :
Lemon Angel Project
Kagihime

Kashimashi is supposed to be aired today (Jan 11), with Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora to follow tomorrow.

There are a whole lot more shows coming in February including Binchotan but I am swamped with the dozen or so shows starting or have started on this month alone..

I'm curious... I downloaded the MKV but I can't play it. I must not have the right video codec. The same thing happened with the Shakugan no Shana MKV. I installed all manner of video codecs after looking up info on this on the web, but I still couldn't get them to play. Does anyone know which codec you need? And it's not just the basic MKV codec, I can play some MKVs just fine.

anubis beat me to the punch, mastroka pack it is.
Hanbuntsuki looks like a lovely show, with the only gripe being somewhat too fast pacing. Then again, they cant let it drag on with just 6 episodes total. Really looking forward to seeing the second episode of it :)
