I was watching Yakitate (which I incidentally stopped watching because it obviously sucks). They explain in the show that melon bread is made with some cheap bread in the center covered with juicy melon pulp and surrounded by a crispy cookie dough exterior. From their description of it it sounds like another sickly-sweet and mushy Japanese monstrosity of a desert that has no place in the mouths or stomachs of decent, law-abiding American citizens.

As to the quality of Shakugan no Shana, I'd say it's just decent. It automatically gets alot of points off in my book for having a female main character (yeah), not to mention it has decided to contain a soap opera side-story. I keep watching it, but I think of it as a filler anime while I wait for the new Berserk to come out... yep.

Yeah, seems to be a filler arc. Rumors say that Kubo Tite has a hand in it though, so hopefully it won't be as woeful as the Naruto filler.

The current manga arc is certainly not just a bunch of comic relief.

I actually didn't think it was that bad. Now the new ending -- that was pretty bad.

Ok I finished watching Samurai 7 and Champloo, I really liked these two anime. Can you guys recommend me something very close to these two shows? I saw Bleach eps 1, looks very childish. I hate childish anime.

the first 20 eps are a little on the childish side, but man, does it get good...

Try some shura no toki or fist of the north star.
If you arent hellbent on watching something that must have fighting scene every five minutes, Scrapped Princess is an awesome series recommendable to any audience.

try limewire. Thats where I turn to if I find that torrents are slow to DL.
