Nah, it's close quarters. 50% of the time you spawn right in front of a guy with your knife, but the other 50% of the time you spawn right behind a guy with a knife...

I get knife kills in TDM all teh time.

it sounds redonkulously fun to play with friends

Logistically, I don't see how flying around in an AC130 is going to work in BF, even on the largest of maps.

The slow maneuverability, you're sitting duck for any jets in the air unless you have fellow air support, it's not a dog fighting plane. They'd have to make it fly slower than the already slowed jets. It'd take a AC130 a big chunk of the map just to take off, if they're going for the realistic physics.

It worked in Desert Combat, don't know what else to say but that. And BF3 doesn't have realistic physics, you can land fighter jets on mountains.

But I'm pretty sure their design decisions for BF3 have them backed into a corner on this one, that's why I say they may be able to do better for BF4 and at least we are getting what they can do now.

Sure the mod had an AC130, but I wouldn't say it "worked". If anything it was a gimmick. All you could do was fly in circles if you want to be of any use to your team.

Yeah, I'd love to see a BF game where the entire theater of war is implemented well and balanced, but I highly doubt we'll see that any time soon.

Proper balance would be 60-120 second tank drive between flags(thus, jeeps faster), with squad spawning to offset the distance. ArmA doesn't have squad spawn :(

Just got back from E3... the lines for MOH and BF3 weren't as crazy as last year... but I was too busy looking for hot chicks to jump in line... not as many or as good as last year... E3 FAIL!!!

You can say that again. I saw a guy last night land in the middle of some trees, spin around and knock a bunch down, then take off again.

Yeah the F35 is tough as nails while bouncing around on the ground but weak as paper in the air. LOL

Its not all bad. While some of them do get tedious, it does get you to play in ways you normally wouldnt.
